    It depends. In my extra cab, I usually average 18mpg on the highway but I've experienced as low as 15mpg (on stretches of I-10 in west Texas with a nasty head wind) and I've experienced as high as 21mpg while driving from Gunnison to Denver.

    1800 miles at any speed and i would lose my mind


    brady was telling me that for drill weekend, the lead humvee that had the commanders in it, was being driven by a newbie, and the speedo was broken...so they did about 45 from poky area to twin, where the other guys took him aside and suggested to him, harshly, that he go faster lol

    Cool, I'm hoping to get 18-19, I got 17 MPG cruising in the hills at 45 MPH, and after we get into AZ it should be fairly flat.
    the only reason I'm driving that slow is because I'm the support truck for the moving truck.

    My average mileage over the past 750 miles of 95% highway driving around 60-70 mph as indicated by my ultra gauge is 18.9 and that's without having it corrected for my 33's so my mileage is actually higher than that. That's with 3" lift, 33s, front bunper, and sliders.

    Yesterday I did some wheeling with a couple guys (a 3rd gen 4runner and a fj cruiser) at a memorial weekend off road event. There were only a few other yotas there, a lot of jeeps, buggies, and redneck mud trucks. We tried to stay out of the mud, but there was plenty to be found through the trails. This is the 3rd time I've been on this trail this year, so I knew what my truck could do and really tried to push it beyond what I thought it could do. The supercharger is awesome when pulling up steep climbs. The 4runner and fj both got stuck once and had to be winched out. I didn't get stuck at all. I think it was the longer wheel base that helped the most, but the dynapro mt's show their strength again. They plowed through everything. It also gave me a chance to test out my shock relocation. Everything went well. The ride seems about the same now as before. It was a fun day.

    I slid the top of the cab against a tree so I got a scuff there, and I ripped the hose off my windshield washer fluid bottle with my tire. I will probably relocate that with something smaller. Otherwise no issues.

    I was wondering if anyone would notice that haha:D

    I'm shooting for stock Tacoma wheelbase which is 123", but anything between 120"-123" I'll be happy with. I just moved both axles forward, but I'm honestly not sure how much. :eek: I'd need an IFS taco to measure.

    It's a cool place. 300 acres of previously mined ground and a lot of trails have been cut through the years. There are some challenging areas that I wouldn't take my truck through, but the little 2 door jeeps do well.
