I had two hrs to test in Barnsville,GA with Zac. 2'' sch 120. Tig root @ 1/8" gap and hot pass. then 3/32 the filler and cap. No grinding the cap. Took 1hr-38 mins of straight getting it. in a HOTT 20' container

Mine was tig root 1/8" opening with 3/32" filler and 50% out tig rest 7018. We had 4 hours and grind when ever you need. Being I had never done it before I didnt know it didnt matter how hot the piece got. So I wasted prob an hour total letting it cool down a bit.

Does anyone have any experience welding titanium? We currently outsource our titanium welding for some projects and would love to save $$$ doing it myself. My only experience is stick and mig welding steel.

Only qualification I meet is 3 and 4g flux and I havent even done it in a year plus. I still wish I could be on the road. Its just hard to give up good steady pay with benefits vacation and 5 min from the house.

Is their any way to alter the way my Lincoln Ranger 250 GXT counts hours? I've accidentally bumped the switch on it a couple times and racked up about 70-80 hours on it that were not actually machine running time but with the selector switched over one notch. How would I go about wiring it so it only reads hours that the engine is actually running?

Hmm.. Can't begin to pretend to know what to say; don't know much about those machines. Although, it sounds as though yours is becomes hot when they key is turned to the on position. You could wire in an oil pressure switch/relay that'll provide power only when your engine is running.
