I couldn't get the actuator off with my sockets. Not sure how the hell the others guys did it because its a tight fit.

Gotta use wrenches man. Or take off the whole passenger side tube.

I got it off but of course a screw had to strip when taking the cover off so gotta get that out now. I couldn't get a wrench in there. I had to dig through old tools and make a socket the perfect length then get it out with barely a quarter of a turn at most. PITA. I tend to do things the hard way though so maybe I just missed a little hole I could get through. Having big hands sucks. I need a girlfriend that only comes over for things like this.

Got it off. There was a nice pool of water in it. Possibly from our water crossing but I am pretty sure it was broke before that. I am letting it dry over night and then I'll put the truck on stands and see if I can't get the wheels moving.

    Hmm interesting

You did use new FIPG on the tube and actuator yes?

I don't even know what FIPG is. So no. I just followed Chases tutorial from ECGS. The actuator never was removed so that was sealed from factory. We did however forget to reconnect the breather tubes so that s likely how the water got in if it was from that crossing. I am dumping the oil for the front tomorrow as well since I lost a bit today anyways so Ill check for water.

Haha yea forgetting the tubes would be an issue.

But FIPG is form in place gasket. You need to put some on the tube when you connect it to the diff

Yep didn't do that. Is there a way to disconnect the tube and get enough of a gap without dropping the front diff?

I am pretty sure I have to drop it anyways since the breather was damaged already. ECGS said to just install the diff and it would be easy to swap it later...yep, not happening. I have the new part and sealed the broke piece with RTV for now. Just dreading having the drop it again :pout:.

You can yes. Well...on mine you can. What I did that night of the epic I pulled that whole tube and then replaced it.

You have to clean the surfaces and much as possible then apply a good bead 100% all the way around.

But if you can't get your breather on it. Gotta drop it man. That is pretty damn important haha
