Hey guys. I got a smittybilt XRC-8s (8000lb synthetic) from Amazon a couple weeks ago. Decided I wanted the Warn Zeon 8.
Thought I'd offer it up here for cost (brand new. I opened the box to look at it) before I returned it to Amazon. Cost me 449.99. If any of you all want it without having to pay shipping, let me know.
I'm gonna call Amazon on Tuesday.

Went to Maui Taco (Off-Road) in Waipio to get some longer U-Bolts. They had a close fit, but it wasn't exact. They were 1/8" wider than the axle diameter. Same bolt width 9/16th and length was good 10", but the 3 1/4" width is 1/8th over the axle, so there was a minuscule amount of play. The guy said they should be OK, but after consulting with Iven...I took them back. Unfortunately, that was after I drove almost all the way back to Hawaii Kai from Waipio!

Fuck!...guess I was meant to spend the day driving around Oahu...lmao! Anyways, Iven sent me a link discussing the problems associated with having a loose U-Bolt and I didn't want to go there. Mike offered to create a shim to fill the gap, but that just didn't seem appropriate. I can wait... So Kaleo...don't go there!

Gotchah! Gonah order a flip kit from the same company i got my bilsteins from, boss4x4. They said $72 shipped with a tapped plate for a bumpstop.

tried to install my bumper today. but there's a crossmember that's welded on between the front frame horns on the 98.5-00 tacomas like mine that's removable on the 01-04s

so I need to cut it off, and it'll be a PITA with the dremel

Man...I was really wanting to do some mods on the truck this weekend. Got parts building up that I can't put on yet.. New rear blocks, leaf clamps and a new rear replacement shock coming in this week, but can't do anything until I get the damn U-Bolts!!!... I'm having withdrawals!

Edit: Oh yeah...Braddah Iven's prob happy cause I'm not over at his place using all his tools and jacks...
