So I just had my topper installed on Thursday. Last night is snowed 5 inches of heavy snow and while driving a sheet of water went between the cap and the back of the cab. When I got to the trailhead I noticed that there was a little water on both the right and left back of the bed. Looks like it came in on the back corners where the cap hits the bed. Any suggestions. Was this a poor install( cap was over 1500 bucks).
    Thanks

I have a cx and it doesent look like it's designed to be water tight on the corners where it touches the tailgate, certainly no more water tight than the tailgate is at that point

Post up some pics if you have a chance. Does it look like something is broken, or not installed correctly?

So it's the back corners looks like there is some foam that is sticking out just a bit and is allowing water to come through the foam( the foam) seems to be damp inside. I'll take pics soon

Mine just started to do that, and from my experience, thats when the seal at the top of the front of the bed needs replaced

If you can identify that yes it is the toppers seal leaking and you can not easily fix it; then I would call them and setup a repair time. If you can fix, take pix, fix it and call them anyways.

    However with that said:

Our ARE didn't leak, the pickup did. Both front corners had spots in the bed that would leak on the highway along with the storage bins. Only had water get in at the tailgate when circumstances were stacked against us. The 120 invertor plug in still leaks a little, I just haven't sealed it up yet - it is very minimal... I just used a caulk gun with "Right stuff" and sealed all the holes I could find in the bed.

Last year I did have one of the bolt holes leak where the roof rack is bolted down (wish I had never gone for that option - there has to be a better way than 4 'lil 1/4" bolts in each rail with small washers (I reinforced them with fender washers.))

Or it has shifted / cap loosened

I would've noticed my dirt spots in the rail system change and i haven't :/

You know i whine about my cap, now this spout of more leaking allows me to further lower my price and rid my self of the ABSOLUTE HIDEOUSNESS that is cap ownership :)

Mine doesn't leak , only had an issue after about a year , the cap bolts had loosened up and the cap migrated a bit deforming the front seal

You should get rid of your cap if you hate it so much , I love mine , nice dry storage for my gear

The bottom of each side window leaks on mine. The bedrails have always sealed nicely.
