    lots of people come to Winnipeg for the American spring break cause the age to drink in Manitoba is 18, as for how cold it gets, it can get cold, really cold. Im not sure what it is in Fahrenheit but it gets to about -30 -40 sometimes colder in Manitoba, and thats the average temp in February

    yeah i dont know if im a fan of the bagged milk its a good thing they dont have that shit where i live. but if you think about it a milk carton doesnt really close fully and jug with a snap cap does tho

    From what I remember, one side of a product would be english - while the other side would be french. Is it still that way? (it's been a good 15-20 years since I've been up there)

    Funny, but in the States....a lot of stuff is Spanish/English.

    It's cold in Sask during the winter but it's not that bad in other places in the country...Southern Ontario for example...I am further south than a lot of other states in the US and in the winter it doesn't get that cold...you might have a week where it would be -20c but for the most it's only in the minus single digits....and in alot of parts in BC it doesnt even snow. I like my US cousins but I love living in Canada

    Hey Janster they still have milk in plastic bags where I come from...In fact my mom still buys them in the bags, but I prefer the 4 litre plactic containers.

    Thanks for giving me more information on that, I always think that a country should always speak just one language including the USA and others. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me for a country to have it all mixed up.
    But I do think it is a good idea like you said for anyone to learn another language to possibly open up their future for opportunities. Especially if a country that is next to your country speaks a different language, but I think it shouldn't be mixed up so much like in Quebec. Just so a Country and keep it's national character or national identity, so to speak.

    I also have some more questions if some of you folks from Canada don't mind me asking.
    Do you guys really hate us that much? Or is it just most of the French Canadians that hate us, especially during the Bush years. Or they just hate us anyways, with or without Bush and why?
    Do the English (non French) speaking Canadians tend to like us more or less, and why? I had a friend in High School who was Canadian, and he pretty much disliked the French Canadians and do other Canadians feel the same?
    And when I'm asking these questions I don't want anyone to think I hate Canada or any French Canadians and any political sides they may or may not be on. For the most part I like Canada, they have helped us and the World in most wars, especially in WW2 and in Iraq. :)

    Nad whats the weather been like in MB lately...we just had a massive heat wave...I think one of the common misconceptions americans have is that everything in Canada is the same. Oh and that your family pet is either a Beaver or a Penguin. LOL

    I don't hate americans. I have lots of relatives all over the states and visit them often. It does irritate me that for the most part we know quite a bit more about the US and a lot of americans still think we live in Igloos and club baby seals.

    As for french canadians. My experience is that a lot of them hate english speaking canadians just as much as americans. So don't feel bad.
    For the most part our countries are very similar.

    As for the military we try to help out. I think we were in WWII first and it was you guys that turned the tide. Our popultaion is but a fraction of yours so we don't get noticed all that much from a military stand point.

    Their is some animosity between the french canadians and the english canadians. There are many Quebec folks that would love to separate from Canada and I think that's where the dislike comes from (both sides). Just like any mass population, there are lots of good people and lots of Jack Asses. I hope this helps.

    For any Canadian on this thread, does anybody work in the electronics or telecom field, I am a electronic engineer with telecom background looking to relocate to Kelowna or the Vancouver area. I absolutely love BC, the best place in the world, and I have been to a ton of countries. I lived in Waterloo and St. John when I was a kid. Have some family in Victoria and all over the east cost. Please hook me up!

    Oh, and I have dual citizenship, so moving there won't be a problem. Thanx
