Washed the truck, debadged her, changed out the rear shocks and painted the skid plate and will install tomorrow after work.

Well here is how i spent my Sunday. Few snafu's but went ok for the most part. Best part was i did it all with my dad. Neither of us have have done anything like this so it was a great project and took (albeit a lot longer than planned) 12 hours to do it was worth it!

Drove it home (about 10 miles) and the ride was soooo much better than stock. The small bumps werent noticeable and even cornering felt smoother.

Came across this bolt-on at AutoZone today.. $22 bucks, 9" in length, 1.75"-2.5" inlet, 3.75" outlet. I plan to cut a couple inches off my stock pipe past the flare and get it welded on maybe this week or next week. Could just be me hearing things but gives a nice hum to the exhaust.. :)

Nick. I spent 9hrs putting my ICONS on with my buddy. I feel your pain...lol But def worth it. The cost to have them installed by a shop would prob be close to 1K. Anyways, get yourself some nice tires and wheels to fill it in...:D

Tires and wheels will come soon. So much tread left on my stock ones though lol In a few months im sure though.

And yeah it took 12 hours for us but that included getting all the tools ready, eatting lunch, and a bit of other time wasting. Plus my dad is older so it was a lot of me doing the work and him just handing me tools lol. THough he did quite a bit of the muscling around too

Ive only drove 1/10 of a mile so far, it was awesome btw. Everyone i talked to said once u got used to not drifting around corners it was much better. Since i have progressive springs i figure i need as much help as i can get. The seals on my sway bar must have just blow also. When i got my tire off i noticed nice clean grease all over it.

I Got up early and detailed the motor and engine bay. We found a small oilleak on the front corner of the pass valve cover yesterday when we installed theURD CAI. I want to see just how bad it is so it needed cleaning up. It looks like it just started and with 113K on her I’m not a little surprised.

Alright i just took a lil 7 mile ride or so and hit pot holes, county bridges, and a couple 90° curves all of which at speeds between 30-60 mph (45 max on curves) and... i freaking love it. Granted when i got the truck the suspension had 142000 miles on it, but new shock or sway bar removal or a combonation makes a world of difference. I can hear the bumps but i dont really feel them. The first 90° was at 45 and i let up as soon as i noticed some slight body roll but still maintained 40 mph throughout. I can definately get used to it for the rewards of it. Plus my mpgs should go way up since i lost all that weight (kidding but it was heavier than i estimated) i still need an alignment , but nothing but good things on this end so far.
