    I ordered a
    14' DCSB
    4X4
    TRD Sport
    automatic
    tow package
    Navigation
    Grey
    $31,933 +TTL
My build date is actually scheduled for tomorrow

So I'd say that 34k is not a good deal.

Are you in need of a vehicle this instant or can you do without one? Not that you shouldn't buy, but that answer depends on my advice

Prices in so cal are high. They won't really deal on Tacomas either. I know, I've been looking for a while now. All the specials Toyota runs are on everything EXCEPT Tacomas.

Most of the dealerships around here don't have a problem moving them.

Picked up a DblCab TRD-Offroad 4x4 + tow package today for about 32k. Checked all the other dealerships (Longo, Elmore, Toyota Place, Autonation), nobody had what I was looking for. Ended up going with South Coast Toyota.

Use www.truecar.com or if you have someone like USAA for your banking use their car buying service and they will give you an idea of what you should be paying at most. Just doing some quick research on USAA it looks like you should be getting the truck for $1900 - $2500 less than MSRP before taxes, title and tags depending on which dealership you go to.

I just got my 2014 a few weeks ago and we were not willing to negotiate. Used market here in Michigan is sky high. Cheaper for me to buy new then used. Tacomas are hard to find here also.

I have to agree with the other members, the prices in CA are high. I went to several dealerships in Southern CA and the one that was willing to negotiate the most was AutoNation Toyota in Cerritos. A lot of the dealerships told me that there is little room for negotiation because the Tacoma sells so fast. If you look on the streets, Tacoma's are everywhere, but don't settle with that price man. Make those guys come down.

Tell them you are going to visit some other Toyota dealerships, then DO visit some others. There must be dozens of Toyota dealerships within a 200 mile radius of where you live.

Also do not tell them that you are looking at only Tacoma's. When I was looking at the tacoma I was also looking at F150, Ram 1500, Volkswagen GTI and jeep wranglers. As soon as they found out I was looking at others cars the dealerships started trying to give me the lowest price possible so I wouldn't go test drive other cars.

Too high, wait till the end of the month. If they don't make their quota they'll go less. Take your time and shop around.
