Buy that truck for me, then I have an upgraded truck.

If the wires are pinched by a big flat area, not such a bad thing unless it is really crushing it to the point where it is destroying the jacketing. It is at flat edges where you need to watch out more, like a hard 90 degree edge, compared to a rolled edge. A rolled edge isn't something to worry about. You can replace the nuts with locknuts and not tighten things down as much, and if you are paranoid, get some thread locker as well and apply before tightening bolts.

That is what people do here. We get out into nature and make use of it rather than sit back and look from a distance. Go out "hiking" with your truck, and camp out in the woods. Beavis knows a few good spots, but doesn't like to share them unless you ask him nicely.

I will have to see if I have pictures but I ran mine down the driver side of the windshield with no problems. I jammed it in and sealed it in place with rtv.

There is an area on Manashtash is no joke but thankfully there is a bypass.

The first time up this rock garden (03 taco dcsb stock and 08 FJ with 3" lift, bumpers, winch) the taco donated the drivers side mirrors to the trail. The FJ was high centered on the rear diff. After some precise rock placement for the FJ, we got it up. The Taco was on the end of the winch.

The second time up this rock garden area, the same FJ donated a steel valve stem midway up. Interesting way of changing a tire with the jack. The same Taco (now with a 3" lift, AP bumper) made it up undamaged.

Hopefully you can make it out there. I've seen snow in July on the trails near the radio tower, and the wet mud on the west entrance to Funny Rocks can get impassible... however, if you can get there, it's so worth it!

We weren't going to make it out to Yakima so early today, but Steph and I are still in for a day trip somewhere.

Unfortunately the last 3 guys that are in are like me and don't know the area. We need a local!

Hey guys, got a prob to solve. I've got a slow leak of diff oil from between the diff and the CV. I pulled the CV and put in a new oil gasket, plus reinstalled the CV. Didn't help.
At this point I'm either thinking something on the CV is warped or I'm missing a gasket.

Any clues? I know this is pretty wide open.

Any good Olympia mechanics? I just want to get that option lined up if needed.

Mines passenger side. As I said, only thing I could come up with is that gasket (replaced, wasn't answer), the remanufactured CV was poorly made, or I'm missing a part.

How long ago did you replace it and where did the remanned CV come from? I helped my friend replace one on his 4Runner(Napa remanned) and it was just a smidge too long so it didn't seat properly. Also not sure if it's the same on Tacos but there should be a spring that seats over the gasket as well. It is easy to lose.
