Here is the set up in order From the Eng. block you have the DTLT, they have a sensor on each side.

Then you have the flange where the Header meets the Y-pipe. Immediately after the flange will be an O2 sensor. One on each side, then a Catilytic converter. It then Y's into another flange and connects to your Cat Back set up.

Being that the Tech is so incompetent, I would be optimistic in thinking the front sensors are there. But, the previous owner has decided to remove the rears. Make that dealer flip the bill. They are plug and play too easy.

CYA Crawler, and insist the tech put that truck on a lift and physically show you all four 2 front, and 2 rear o2 sensor plugs, and make sure the female end of the plug is there and not bare wires for you to have to splice into later to rig up. Plus get some memo from them in writing expressing what they told you, about the sensors actually being there.

I know I'm a little late on this.

But anyways, the y pipe is deffinately stock. Not URD. I see that Roxspin let you know that. :) Thumbs up.

So, just to say waht has already been said, Make sure you have all the sensors. The front two cats will be gone. You will need the O2 Sim. for it to run at its best. When I didn't have mine, the truck idled at like 1800 RPM then died. :( But its all good now. :)

Man there has got to be a story behind this. Putting in those headers is a bit of money and plenty of work. The truck is almost new and being sold by a dealer. Hmmm

But how often do chicks get told to check their bungholes? Always good advice.

yeah, I was actually waiting for a 'tailpipe' joke. I knew it would happen:rolleyes:

Don't know the story. Some people with the kind of money it takes to buy a brand new truck and immediately put thousands of dollars of mods into it wouldn't think twice to sell it and start over when confronted with an annoying issue like an ever-illuminated check engine light.

Just made a deal on this truck!!!! It does indeed have all 4 sensors.
That check engine light really helped me knock the price down. Black '08 double cab TRD sport, tow package with 17,500 miles. Blue book is $28,740. I got it for $25,149 (before TTL). Not bad at a time when inventory is so scarce. All this research really paid off. You guys saved me $3600!!! I can't thank you all enough for the guidance. It will take a while to close the deal and get the truck (it's out of state) but I'll post pics as soon as I get it. yeyah!:D

Rox, PM sent about that URD unit.

Perhaps you didn't read the whole thread. It's closer to a $29,000 vehicle with a check engine light issue that can be fixed for $60.

and it's because of dismissive buyers like you that I was able to get it for 25k, so thank you.

Hey, it's all about getting what you want and being happy with it.

And since your truck already has the highly praised DTLT Headers, you can take that $500 that they would have cost you and buy this:

    http://www.urdusa.com/shopping_cart.php

This will allow you to adjust your Air Fuel Ratio for optimum performance when using Mods such as CAI and Headers... Plug N Play optional...

    Enjoy:D

If you are getting the P-0420/0430 codes the URD sim will fix you up there.

Those codes are telling you that the ECU has determined that the front cats are not doing their job. Of course they are gone with the installation of the long tube headers.

Roxspin, adjusting my mixture is a little over my head, but thanks. Any extra $$ will probably go toward audio for now.

Gadget, thanks for the info. Got one of your sims on the way from Rox.

Tacoskim, don't jinx me! I really hope it all works out. I’ll report back with results when I get that unit installed.

    Update for future searchers:
300 miles on the URD Sim and no issues! Great product. It's loud as hell but I'm loving the DTLT & Magnaflow combo. I never would have thought a 4.0 pickup would be able to bark the tires in second:D My 4.0 jeep had nowhere near this kind of power. I'm officially a taco convert! Thanks again to everyone for the guidance. Now it's time to start researching a new topic: sound deadening.
