Got a round of golf in this morning and just got home from NY. I went out for a wedding on Friday, went out for dinner for our anniversary at the same place we had our wedding reception and got to play golf with family this morning. It was a fun, but busy weekend. Tomorrow is yard work day...

I would say any day during the week. I get home around 5 so I could meet you either at your place or at the lowes parking lot. Whatever is good for you

I auto-x'd one last summer. It was fun, but it runs out of torque down low which was a little frustrating. Granted the one I drove was an automatic which sapped a lot of fun out of it.

If they'd produce one in targa, I'd trade my STi for it so fast it would be laughable. Until that happens I'm going to keep looking for a non-beat 88-92 Supra (since I can't afford a 93+ even selling my Subaru for 22K)

I'm home around 5:30 typically although I may end up working a little late this week. If Lowes is easier for you I don't mind heading over there. I will snap a few pictures if you'd like to make sure it's something you actually want.

So this local radio station (94.3 WCYY) has been doing a "throwback" weekend for Memorial Day Weekend.
I've been tuning in, and sure enough, it's all the stuff I was listening to back in jr. high & high school.

Which of course means that means that everything that was "new" that I was listening to in high school is now old enough to qualify for "throwback" weekends...

    Fuck.

We're the same age...what are they playing? Semisonic, Third Eye Blind, Tonic, etc or is it the heavier stuff?

It's amazing that now there are so very few bands on the radio on either the pop or rock stations that play basic rock music these days...

My fiancee is a huge country fan and even though I can barely tolerate country music, I'm still finding it better than some of the stuff that is passing for rock music these days. Granted the punk/emo/screamo I listen to is starting to become stale in itself but still...

Yeah, plus lots of Green Day, Red Hot Chilis, Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, Sound Garden, Weezer, Etc.
And some Cherry Poppin' Daddies and Dandy Warhols for good measure.
Like this one. I probably hadn't heard this one in 10 years before this weekend, and I heard it yesterday while I was stacking firewood and today while I was cleaning and reorganizing my workshop. I remember this song being absolutely everywhere when it was first released in the US.

RHCP are the ones who truly qualify, seeing as I've been a fan for nearly 30 yrs. I had "Freaky Styley" in 1986 when it was the current album.

THIS is what I think of when I hear them mentioned:

I don't listen to the radio because I don't like listening to the same 10 songs overplayed.
