Got my gas tank skid in the mail last week. Looks sweet like all the other Pelfrey gear! Don't know when I'll get around to pulling the straps and modifying them though, hopefully find some time in June.

Mine started to fade and crack/chip. Probably since it was on my fiberglass fenders. I get them Linex and it only cost $75 more than the gallon of monstaliner.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
X3. I have this stuff on my sliders and my skids and love it! Works great, does not wear off unless you're using the skids and sliders for their intended purposes and it's super easy to touch up.

DO NOT buy the Teflon version of this. Once that stuff gets dirty it is impossible to get clean.

Where'd you get the straps from and how much? Still leaning towards modifying the stock ones but would like to look at options.

Picked them up from a local toyota dealer and definitely got ripped off:eek: If you order from trdparts you can probably get them cheaper.

    It was ~$70 a strap.

Hey Tyler is there any room to stick a cover on the light bar (plate bumper)? And what about for the Duallys? Any room for an amber cover on them as well?

Not sure about the center light bar but I use Amber covers on my duallys. Though to take them off or put them on you have to loosen up the nut that attaches the light to the bumper. But its about a 2 minute job for both.

Thanks Airdog! How's the ambers for the desert? I'm thinking of going clear and then amber covers for when I'm out in the desert. I like your setup

Theres definitely room for both, I had a cover on the center bar for a while before I swapped out for a amber bar.

Thanks Bry! I'm still debating on going regular or amber myself.

Well, I only use the ambers for daytime. At night the covers come off so I can get as much light out front as possible. I want to be able to see the Chupa Cabra's before I run them over.

If I'm not out front the amber stays on to cut the dust.

Just stopping in to say thank you so much to Satin and Tyler for their outstanding customer service and patience with a n00b such as myself

Wanted to thank Tyler for packing my skids (mid, transfer case, and gas tank skids) in his rig and delivering them to Pete (LoadedTaco) in Moab for delivery. I picked them up Monday afternoon from Pete and they have been painted and the mid skid went on tonight! The rest will be going in this weekend and I cannot wait! :D Great product and very beefy. Cannot wait to test them out in a couple weeks. Will be posting pictures in my build thread. Definitely will be using them again for my bumpers (front and rear) in the future!

    Thanks again Pelfreybilt!

P.S. Repping for all to see

Posted in the Pelfrey H/C rear bumper thread but figured I would post here for those that don't follow that thread but are interested.

    Super happy with this bumper.

^^ Looks beautiful! Are those cutouts on either side for future dually lights?

    Thanks!

They are for future Rigid SR-M flushmount reverse lights...probably going to get them in about six months.
