Here is a pic my daughter took from a recent road trip. Did fine driving at 80mph for about 6 hours straight.

Keep checking ebay. I stumbled across mine for 300 bucks! Was never installed by previous owner. Perfect condition.

I'd say wait for a holiday for a discount. Maybe one tomorrow, probably should check around. It's not gonna be half price but I got mine for 20% off when I waited for one of the holidays last year. I order through TruckAddOns.com

Ok need some help... Lengthy post kinda.

Have had my softopper since February. It has seen a couple thousand miles of 75-85 mph hwy runs across Colorado in blizzard weather and rain storms and not a single issue. 3 weeks ago, I moved the rails forward an inch just because it was bugging me that they were rearward a little far. Did three 200 mile highway round trips in a weekend and again, not a single issue.

2 weekends ago, I had to move brush. I pulled the top off ( frame and material ) and took the load to the trash came home and reinstalled the top. SWEET! Love the versatility. That why I got it.

Last weekend, spilled fuel from a mower. Cleaned it up but removed ( unzipped) the rear window for the first time to air out overnight. Re-installed.

I then noticed looking in the rear view at hwy speeds the rear window that usually doesn't even wiggle @ 80 mph is now fluttering pretty good. So.. Re-install and adjust couple more times. Still does it. Today.. Off for a 200+ mile trip to pick up a new to me white water raft. About 15 min into the trip, the FRONT window blows out and starts beating the bed. ( I only use Velcro. No snaps) pull over and look things over. Pull Velcro apart zip unzip etc etc. 2 miles down the rd. Does it again. Re-adjust window. Secure.. Etc etc. blood pressure rising as my kid was asleep. This time I make it about 45 minutes and does it again. This time I folded the top down and said screw it.

So my question.. WTF? Never had a single problem until now. Only thing I did was remove the rear window and put it back the same as it was. Am I missing something? Rear window fluttering but front window blows out. Air getting in some where?

I have well over 60k miles with my soft topper up and have had it open and closed every which way from saturday with no issues. The only dif i see is i have both snaps and velcro on the rear cab window. You might install both and make sure all your adjustments are as tight as possible under warm conditions. Also, call softopper direct and shares your issue, those guys rock. Best of luck.

Thanks. That TG bumper I have I picked up locally from a guy for a great deal. Keep your eyes peeled on CL to find some sweet deals.

Post up some photos. I've done quite a bit of traveling now at 75+ and haven't had those issues.

I just had a great 3 night camp over the weekend, with last night dumping rain. While sleeping inside, its completely dry.

I checked prices all the time. I just sorta stumbled on this one. I didn't really trust it at first, kept thinking that I was reading it wrong, seemed too good to be true. All worked out okay and it looks/works great and couldn't be happier.

With the topper collapsed on the truck, how much does the Softopper protrude from the front of the bed? I have a tool box that is 66" long. So with it mounted in the bed as close to the tailgate as possible, just want to make sure I can open the box when the Softopper is folded down or collapsed. Sorry if that made no sense

It probably sticks out 6-8" maybe? It kinda depends on how neatly you fold it up I've noticed.

    Rigged this up:
    287FE2F3-9309-40E7-ACC4-C2E42A4CA2A6_zps_c10137efa65d5ae415d34433bd52f3da911bac25.jpg

Bent up a little chunk of metal so it would sit on the bedrail, underneath the Softopper weather stripping. Then mounted the actual antenna mount to said chunk of metal:
    186176E8-BBE4-4067-A68E-14837E525420_zps_6dd6a594f4ee627e61ca0e6057b77431e4365c0d.jpg

Works out really good actually! And i can still fold it forward and put the sides down. I've added a couple washers since then so it doesn't get scrunched up like in the first pic.
