I colormatched my chrome bumpers to MGM on my OR. I just took it to a shop, because I am more of a "Hulk Smash" type of guy and painting requires a gentler touch than I can muster. I took the truck in when it was 2 days old so there was zero difference in paint hue.

Any decent shop will be able to look up the code and get you an exact color match for you since it's a stock color. If your 2011 has seen LOTS of sun, it might be slightly faded and the brand new paint will show as a more intense version since it'll be brand spankin' new.

3 Years isn't much time, so you should be OK on that front and your match will be perfect.

    That's weird.
That's why I like the reg cab.
The black over fenders and black bumpers really set off the colors it comes in.
    Like Barcelona,magnetic grey,silver sky...
Post some pics when you get done, this should be pretty cool.

Funny, I looked at your writeup and it made me decide I wouldn't venture to do something like that myself... not because your writeup or anything was bad, but because it was so good and SO not something I would be able to do without botching it.

I was really wondering is there anything I need to add to the paint to keep it from chippping off the plastic. Here is pic of what she looks like now.

My last truck was MGM and had the black fender flares.... always wanted the color matched ones... now I have color matched ones and think the black ones looked just as good! LOL

If the bushwackers weren't so d@mn expensive, I'd get some. Those I would have to color match for sure, so with all that I'd end up paying way more than I am willing to.... at least at this point in time.

Thanks man! I like the way it looks and it is different than any other 2012+ truck I have seen.

My plans are to color match the bumper and add a hidden winch to it and keep it black just because the truck has some black accents however, I just cant take looking at that plastic anymore if it would stay gloss I would have no problem but it just doesn't tie in well when its shine has worn off

Color matched bumper and overfenders give it that mall crawler look, especially with some of the aftermarket grills out there.

Painted overfenders and a black bumper or a winch bumper might look good though.

Ive seriously considered a winch bumper but the prices are outrageous and I like the hidden winch a lot better price wise considering I don't really do anything to need all the armor of the winch bumper. The only thing I do as far as offroading is hunt out of it and a lot of dirt roads where I live

The only reason I want to put a winch on mine is to pull out deer, elk, and bears.

I live in South GA, I wish our deer required a winch to drag!

It isn't the size that's the problem. It's the terrain. Most hunting places are really steep in Western Oregon.
