i just got back from a long trip hauling my camper about 5 hours each way. The way home there was bad wind and the truck struggled bad, i could only go about 55 and was getting 6 mpg. Now that i'm home the truck idles like crap and it bucks a little bit going 60 with no camper on it. I had to put ethanol in 2 times on the trip because i couldnt find non ethanol in iowa. so i'm wondering if thats my problem and it messed something up. My truck only has 16000 miles so nothing should be worn out already. Any input will help thanks.

Considering it's a TRD supercharger and your truck is within warranty, I would take it to the dealer and let them deal with it.

Ethanol = bad for these trucks. Injectors and lines not designed for anything more then 15% or 10% ethanol.

I'm guessing OP meant he couldn't find any 100% gas. Are there really any places in he states where you could ONLY get E85?

    Iowa is one.
    Missouri is just about there.
You have to look hard for non ethanol here.
Thanks to the "f'n cornhole" lobby!

100 gas is nearly impossible to get. His truck should run fine on any premium fuel. I would not assume the raw fuel but filters are surly a possability

    Possibly a clogged fuel filter?

No codes popped up yet that's why I don't think the dealer will do much.

OME all around. SPC UCA. This and that.
I would check for disconnected hoses and check that the belt didn't break. I know I left the hose off that goes to the PCV valve and I started the truck and it ran like shit. Good luck and please keep us posted

    How heavy was your camper?

Does it run well up to 55-60mph and then starts stuttering?

I would unplug the battery for 30 minutes and let the computer reset. Restart it and let it idle for a minute before you drive it and see if that makes a difference.

If you had to run cheaper gas in and you were trying to pull a camper. I would chalk it up to low octane gas. I was in Kansas last Christmas and the same thing happened to me. I got in a tight spot and needed to use some lower octane fuel. It ran like serious
$%#t for a few days after.

Camper has dry weight if 3800 so probably like 4100 with everything and it's not as bad accelerating to 60 but once you hit 60 you can really tell it ain't running right.

Ok, did you put in E85? When you said you put in ethanol how much percentage? If you put E85 that could cause an issue. I have run my S/C on lower octane fuel. But avoid E85. The S/C and engine ran fine with the lower octane.

Run a couple tanks of "good" gas to see if the issue persists. If it does persist, back to the dealer.

DO NOT run E85 in the taco motor.... they are NOT meant for it.
