I looked at the Omega originally. Wanted them bad. The wait for them would have not fit my build time frame though. Icon Bumps too. - Get em.

Look into doing a shackle flip to get more down travel out of it all.

We have the same bumps in the rear, but I think mine were closer to engaging than yours. The Icon bumps alone will probably solve the issue of the rear bucking. The Omega double bypass are insanely awesome! Omega's and bumps would give you an awesome ride on and off road. Dean, if you need a custom built Icon shock to match the expo packs travel, let me know I could see if Tim could get you setup with a really good price.

Great idea, as noted above, the bumps alone will make a huge difference. I am running the same front suspension as you and have all pro standards and icon 2.0 in the rear with the bolt on bumps and they made a huge difference. I think my next upgrade will be SUA. I've been talking closely with Total Chaos and they will have an SUA kit coming out very soon that I will hopefully get to run on my truck (I will give more info as this moves a long.) I have a friend running defined SUA with shackle flip 12" Bypasses and the same front suspension as us, and.... he has a HC rear bumper and CBI front bumper (Lots of weight) and we took his truck out and were keeping up with full LT trucks.

I know thats a large brick of text but let me know if you want more info. Icon Omegas are tits... I'll be running them.

My only concern with the SUA is the weight carrying capability. My taco has a fat ass on it. Any more info on your friend that is running the SUA with that amount of weight in the rear?

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
Sua can generally handle more weight then soa.

With SUA you have to run fiberglass bedsides or limit your up travel. SUA or SOA will handle weight the same, SUA will mostly improve articulation, travel at speed and axle wrap. Dean Stay with the SOA and just run the setup previously recommended, you will be more than happy with more money in the wallet.

He's actually running stock bedsides with his fenders trimmed just like Dean. He's pulling about 12" of travel and the SUA makes it handle so well. The biggest gain about the SUA over the SOA he was running, is that even with his RTT, HC bumper, Fridge and all the other camping stuff he still has a decent amount of up travel. As for when he had the SOA he pretty much was riding on bumps

That's what is happening now. When I am loaded down, I am riding on the bumps. I am about 1 inch away as it currently sits.

Your type of driving would be the prime candidate for the Defined Kit. He even has a HD pack for more load capacity.

I have a modified defined kit and it's been the normal kit, HD, and custom leafs added and I use my truck like you do Dean and I honestly plan to ditch it, I'd pass on the defined kit

Everybody should pass on the defined kit. There is much better out there for the same money, like dmz fabs sua kit. Total chaos and camburg are also coming out with sua kits now to.

I've heard good and bad about it. Seems like the rear end is harder to decide on than the front was.

SUA no bueno out east. if your wheeling here you want as much clearance under that axle as possible...
A shackle filp, shock relo, and a good leaf pack is the way to go IMO.

If I were you I would copy FixedTRD's set up for the rear, and have Deaver make the leaf pack a little more heavy duty on the DMZ kit

Wow! Sorry but he wasted some of his money, because the SUA has so much more potential that's being restricted. If you're going to spend that much on a SUA, you might as well use the full 17 inches of it's potential and run glass bedsides. Thats like putting a 80 MPH govern on a Ferrari! Just saying....
