Well that's pretty good considering you paid $800 for the truck ? Not sure on what vehicle you should buy in the meantime.

So I went on discount tire direct and they have a bunch of wheels and even have a simulator to show you then on your truck. I like these:

Yeah thats a great deal considering what you actually paid for it. I cant imagine how hard it is to sell a first truck. If you are going to have that 2012 tacoma then i would buy some cheapish car/truck that will get you by until then.

Those are $125 a wheel, then a $50 discount so $450. I'll check on truck pics

Yes, toyota ones don't work well with any aftermarket wheels. And Sean rear ended his Nissan into a f250

Wyatt, Nice build. I haven't read the whole thread, so this may have been covered, but I had a 99 PreRunner that died due to the frame rust out. I was lucky though and was still within the 15 year time period for the buyback. It goes by the "In Service Date" of your truck, so you may also still be covered on your 99. I thought I'd mention it because it would suck to get past that date and have the rear suspension collapse into the frame like mine did. (I did a post on it in 1st Gen.) I know you're south but wasn't sure of the life of the truck.

One word of caution. If you think it won't pass and be deemed unsafe to drive and are OK with the buyback, take everything off the truck that wasn't stock before you take it in. Because if it's unsafe they'll keep it and give you a loaner until the buyback is done. Mine had brand new tires on it that went with it! The service manager was nice, though and had his guys switch out my stereo head unit to the original and gave me mine.

In memory of mine, here's a photo:

Yes they came with tires. Dry rotted 10yr old ones haha. Didn't know about the date code at the time. I had to get new tires immediately. Spent $400 on 5 31x10.5x15, including the alloy rims and full size spare. And not a f-250. It was an Expedition, the old huge ones haha

Mine is currently past the buyback point. Im not worried though as its been a georgia truck its entire life and has no rust on any point of the body or frame and has passed the inspection the last month it was covered. That sucks about yours going bad but atleast you were covered with the buy back.

That was a nice yota you had! I see you are in a new one you got any new pics?
