    Jesus. Christ.

I am trying to be as nice as I can about this, but please start formatting, capitalizing, and punctuating your sentences. It's about to drive me batshit. This is borderline unintelligible.

Well here is what honestly happened. Ok I just got off my phone with a buddy 2 lights before. I put my phone down was driving 5 under the speed limit. I was coming up to the light of were the accident happened. The guy that was rear ended from the jeep said, "a lady slammed on her brakes at the green light for some reason and he nearly hit her but didn't". Then the jeep slammed on there brakes and didn't hit the truck. But when I hit my brakes they locked up and the ABS released them so i guess to help me not slide but when it did that I hit the jeep the jeep slid forward and hit the truck.
Is that better spelling and capitalization for you?

Thank you. I can now understand what happened.

That does suck and sound like bad circumstance...but lesson learned. Follow a little further back, especially in crowded traffic. These trucks aren't terribly light.

Not trying to bust your balls but what was the age group of the people who were "at fault"?

Young people many times do not realize just being in the demographic they are in, that trouble will find them many times.

1st time I got hit by a low 30's I would say, male, in a chevy 1500. He ran into my side view mirror as I was at a stoplight, He was trying to squeeze around me to make a right turn on red.

2nd time I got hit by a female in her mid 40's. I had my right blinker on and was turning into a parking spot at a grocery store and as the front of my truck was creeping into the spot she was accelerating and was trying to get in between me and my spot to get around to another one she saw closer to the store. Scared the crap out of me as I was not expecting to get hit while parking. She hit my passenger front tire and wheel, scratched it a little, made a small mark on my tire and had a bit of glass between the wheel and the tire that I took out. It severely damaged the front of her car, breaking her headlight and smashing in her bumper and hood. Only real "damage" of the aftermath was my alignment was knocked to hell.

I dont' care. but if I see it on a self-improvement card I gonna come lookin' fo ya!!!:devil::devil:

    j/k of course.

Seriously though, driving a vehicle requires constant attention. I know I sound like an old fart, but since I had my son I've been turning into my dad lol.

Enjoy your youth and make smart choices as they will follow you throughout your life. Best of luck!

ABS does not release your brakes...it pumps them very rapidly to prevent loss of traction. It may feel like it released your brakes, but it didn't. You have to practice STEERING your truck while the ABS is engaged. I'm gonna make one more comment and then I'm out of this thread: anyone your age with 3 accidents has struck out. No more vehicle and as far as I am concerned your license should be suspended. I don't want drivers like you on the road with me. You did not give the vehicles in front of you safe clear distance given the road conditions which simply means you practiced very poor judgement and driving skills. At a minimum, you should be required to take this course: http://www.cityoforlando.net/police/citizen_info/CAT_training.htm

First off...I can't believe this thread has gone on for 156 posts.

Sorry to hear you wrecked but I had 3 accidents before my 2nd year of college (not much longer than you). The difference...I was driving a $500 Ford Escort and $800 Eagle Summit. THAT is what a kid your age should be driving for this exact reason. We make mistakes at this age. We don't have the experience to prevent things.
Hell, my first big accident happened in college because I was looking out the passenger window at a girl bending over (damn sweet ass she had :D). Hit the guy going about 30.

The point is...this is why your parents are upset. I'm not dogging you because you were handed nice things. But driving a vehicle this size and this expensive at your age, will end in situations like this - w/out a car your senior year.

Had you been driving a beater, you would pay for her damages, scrap your car and get another one. Mom and Dad care a lot more when you wreck a $30K vehicle that was given to you.

It sucks you are in this situation but you'll work it out.

All the more reason I can't believe this thread has gone on this long. None of his posts in 8 pages included punctuation. I'm sorry to stereotype but it's typical for a high schooler. At only 30 yrs of age, I'm sorry to say we didn't have computers in high school so I don't know what I would've sounded like. Hopefully not like that!

Who the hell taught all you crashers how to drive? Two kids and lots of miles with no accidents here! Your parents are locking the barn after the horses are long gone. Never look in one spot for more then a few seconds and never ever ever take you eyes off of the road!

Ditto!!!!! I have raised TWO GIRLS WITH NO ACCIDENTS OR TICKETS! You should never been given a vehicle, and you've proven this to be the truth. Now be a MAN and take the consequences.

I agree, the premium must be out of this world to insure an 18 year old with 3 accidents. Getting insurance on your own may not be feasable at all. I say, listen to your parents and just suck it up. Eventually things will be normal...you'll get to drive again one day...good luck bro.

I'm 22 and still can't afford the premiums on my own, and I have no points. My parents are fine with me being on their policy, but I have paid my portion since I was 16 yrs old. It has taught me to be much more cautious, as I would have to take on any rate increases due to my driving decisions.
