    OMG, so the final damage for this rear ender was $5200. WTF! Seriously, it just doesn't look like that much damage. The police report list $1K, I guessed 2K but over 5K. Somebody made some money on this.

    They replaced the tailgate, bumper, driver tail light, hitch, adjusted the truck bed, paint, and rental. Man am I in the wrong business.

    I got the truck back yesterday and it looks as good as the day it was made. Flawless work. Couldn't be happier.

    I think your parents are bluffing, after things cool down and a few months later they may give the truck back sooner than a year. Just make sure to get good grades, stay out of trouble, and just be good! :eek:

    As far as the truck is concerned, I hope you learned your lesson and will learn to be more careful. But I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that since you are hearing a lot of it now. Just keep your eyes on the road, next time you may kill someone! :(
