That's pretty! My sugar snap peas will just have plain-jane white flowers on them. :(

Man I didn't expect my tomatoes and really everything to take off. Tomato bushes are huge! Had to move a fence and use fencing instead of cages.
Was trying an experiment with cantelope but its starting to take over.

That doesn't bode well for me...I'm experimenting with canteloupe and watermelon this year, and they're in the same 4x8 bed!!

Maybe I should change that before they really start growing...

Neat. might have to look into something like that....

    :jellydance: nice garden

no vege garden at the moment. Due to some 4 legged excavators, gardens are destroyed. Need to move the "dog pen" and expand to about 1/3 the back yard and I'll have my area for a garden and grass. I will move my tractor tires and plant whatever I'll be able to plant due to the time and what I can get.

This is the side of my garage. Planted some..... hmmmm can't remember the name - but nice foliage and pretty :anonymous: and some iris's and foxgloves. And threw some purple coneflower on top for good measure.

Nice watering system. I wish Vegas got enough rain for that type of setup. Most homes here don't even have rain gutters.

Well duh, you don't need gutters if you only get 4 inches or less of rain per year

Here's my best cantaloupe. We just got more rain this morning so it'll be bigger this week.

    Thanks!
Rain Gutters in Vegas do seem kind of pointless...

    Nice!
Mine are all still in the seedling stage. My melons have all only got 3 or 4 leaves each, and the tomatoes are probably 10 inches high and still spindly. Can't wait for it warm up a little bit and watch them start taking off!

I think it is to keep all of the weeds down and hold in moisture.

I like to use old leaves in the edge of the woods that were in the yard for putting my plants.... it works pretty good and it's free.

I used compressed straw bales from tractor supply. I was after moisture control more than anything and trying to save money. It cost me 20$ plus tax. It doesn't choke out weeds or grass that much but if had mulch that does I would've needed a few yards.
