Thanks, I liked it a lot and kept it in great shape. I had kept an eye on the rust and checked it every year & didn't really have anything until this happened:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-tacomas/329777-what-buyback-looks-like-1999-prerunner.html

I wasn't ready to buy a new truck, but after looking at the prices of the used and the selection of used, I decided to go with new and bought this:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/329303-brought-home-today-2014-access-cab-4x4-pyrite-mica-trd-sport.html

I figure I came out OK since they gave me $9500 on the buyback and it was pretty much a stock 4 cylinder PreRunner. I went from crank windows to the TRD. It feels like it's too nice, but I'll get used to it. :)

Hope yours lasts forever, or as long as you want it.

Yeah i wouldnt know what to do if I had to buy a new truck right now. Honestly enough I probably would be able to land back into a tacoma which is why Im hoping to never have to get a new truck :D I remember looking at that thread not to long ago not alot you can do for that rust!

The 2nd gens do feel like luxury compared to the first but somewhat similar (at least to me) Your new one is pretty nice! I love the color and and AC 2nd gen

I dont know how far you have read of this thread but most all of it is just bs truck talk or anything  you can blame smmarine or Mtopp for that one

    I think I'm gonna go fishing! Just kidding, I don't have a truck :(

Oh well, pretty soon I'll be getting 30mpg  I filled up my grandma's car for her yesterday (2004 Chevy Cavalier) and it had a half tank of gas, I filled it up completely and only put in $15. That's kinda nice haha

That'd be nice, I've driven and filled up smaller cars
