This is generally how I fix my electronic issues. It works about .03% of the time, which still makes it worth it considering the stress relief of throwing expensive things...

it is really about luck.. i had a 2002 ranger with dark tint and it was DPS that got me twice for it, not the city cops.. the first time it was just a cheap ticket, the 2nd time it was a fix it and show up at court ticket... luckily I was on my way to the dealer to trade it in the next day so i never had to deal with it..

 

Just curious but can I get pulled over for not having rear bedsides on my truck in CA if I am registered in AZ? Getting them painted while I'm visiting my gf.

 

I'm sure they will pull over from wha I read on here

 

Sorry should have been more clear. Will I get a ticket for driving with no bedsides in CA with AZ registration?

They should but they wont always. Gotta have mudflaps and bedsides in AZ but I have had both off and gotten nothing. Luck of the draw?

Unless you have a nicer car. As soon as I got my e46 m3 that was jet black/black, I had a "nice" fresh aussie DPS officer pull me over and gave my wife and I shit about my tint in july. Granted it was 5% but I thought it was crazy. Haters gonna hate.

Then on one of my t4r which was black, I got limo on it and was never bothered. Go figure

 

I believe you fall under CA jurisdiction when in CA. I had Florida.plates and my 3" exhaust piping with no cats was too loud and got a fix it ticket....

 

I mobbed for a little bit with no bedsides, besides some odd looks never had a problem with cops

Thats weird because both of my BMW 550's had limo and front and I never got stopped.

 

It's just depends on the cop when it comes to tint.

 

Used to look for tint all the time, but would also look for other reasons to pull someone over as well. It just invites them into your life

 

Maybe wrong place and wrong time. The DPS officer was definitely fresh and had a mentor in shotgun walking him through it all. It took about 30 mins for the whole ordeal and kept going back talking to the mentor every other question. I manually took the tint off and had it signed off. Just a waste of time.
