I did too. Raced a harescramble, Got the holeshot in my open class, led the first lap got into traffic at mile 2 on second lap and hit a pine in 3rd gear pinned. Beat me all to hell and broke my foot. Had to ride 7 more miles to get out. Guess I'm done Ridin for a lil while

I know the pain all too well, my friend! lol! I remember when I first started racing when I was a kid. I broke my last 3 toe bones inside my left foot on practice day and didnt want to race the next day. My dad told me to suck it up and quit faking and if I didn't race on sunday I would never race again! So I got dead last only finished a couple laps to not DNF. Went to the hospital Sunday night and my dad felt terrible that I wasn't faking it haha! Stubborn old man

Wow, those trails look amazing! I would kill to have stuff like that close to me!

And gopro has video editing software? I'll have to check it out sometime if I get my gopro to stop acting so weird. It only records video for a few seconds before it stops recording. It's annoying to get some good riding in that would make for some awesome video, but when you check your recordings, you don't have any. Ugh

Edit: Did some googling and testing. Turns out the sd card took a crap on me. I bought it a few years ago and it has been in the camera ever since. Formatted it a couple times. I guess something inside the card screwed up and would only record 10 seconds of video. Tried another card and it works perfectly. How freaking irritating is that

That's a bummer, but at least you found out it was only the card giving you all that trouble.

And thanks, I feel really lucky that we have these amazing places to ride up here.

You can download GoPro studio 2 for free off the GoPro website.

Thanks! Lucky man... I haven't been riding in awhile. I've actually ben contemplating selling my 3hunnie and getting a utility quad.... Blasphemy I know, but I think the quad would have more uses.

I just did that for my atv's. I haven't missed it much, just when a few of my friends head to the track. But even then I just borrow a bike. I'm happy with the atv's at least now I can enjoy riding with my wife.

    WHAT?! THE HORROR!!! :D

I grew up mud riding and cruising dirt roads on my family's land on a utility quad. Getting into mx and trail riding on a dirt bike, after moving to Colorado, has been quite the revelation. I don't ever see myself converting back. I don't really have a need for a quad since I elk hunt in a wilderness area, and the mountain trails up here are too rough to have any fun on a quad when trail riding.

I rented a CRF100 for my wife a few years ago, and she had a blast at the track! Thinking about getting one for her when we're done having kids, and of course a bike for my son when he's ready.

If I end up back in Louisiana, I'll consider a quad for hunting season and working around the camp.

Whatever you end up riding, I hope you can get out there and have fun sooner than later!

The trails were awesome on Monday! Had a bit of rain over the weekend so there was no dust, and tons of traction. Only bailed once when I stalled on a big rock. :D

How are the mountain trails too rough to ride an atv on? I live in CO and trail
Ride almost every month on my BF750. Yes there are some single track areas it can't go on but I assure you that if it's double track and you can get a dirt bike up it I'll get my atv there too. I do miss trail riding on my 450's though but having the atv has been nice for hunting, and doing work one friends property. I don't think I would have switched if I didn't get married and have a kid. The atv's just make it easier with the family. Where did you go last weekend I was down in Texas creek outside of canyon city.

To me, they're too rough to have fun on. My 1st trail ride in CO was on a rented quad out at Camp Hale, and I hated it. There's just a lot more jostling around with 4 wheels. Every time we come up on a quad on the trails, they're slowly crawling over stuff I can zip across on my bike. I'd probably be going as slow as those folks, too, because quads tend to roll in the same direction as you when they roll over. I just feel more comfortable on a bike in that type of terrain, and I can go faster when I'm comfortable. Additionally, all my buddies have bikes, too, and we spend a good bit of time at the mx track as well as the trails. Quads are really capable trail machines, but crawling through a technical section of two track, or cruising Forest Service roads is not for me.

I totally get the family thing, though, and I'd be going slow just enjoying the outdoors if my family was riding with me. (my plan now is to get them all dirt bikes)

We were out at Rampart on Monday.
