    Boooooo!

In other news, looks like I'm back to considering Icon C/Os. Had to brake hard for a quick stop and the nose dive was a bit, *ahem*, unsettling.

What exactly is the advantage of icons or any other coil over? Just because they're rebuildable? Or because you can get them valved to your needs?

you can mix and match valving and coil stiffness and length along with adding pre-load.

OME really only has two options for heavy front ends, 882s (395mm w/ 500lb rate) or 883s (375mm w/ 590lb rate). With Icons and the like, you can get up to a 14" (356mm) coil w/ 700 lb rate and then can add pre-load if any is needed.

Interesting. My 883s seem perfect now but once I add a winch and some lights up front I may change my mind.

I'm currently running about 225 - 250 lbs of extra weight up front. The 883s might do the trick for me but I want to find an excuse to get Icons. :D

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Really the biggest difference is they are 2.5" shock bodies vice the bilstein/OME's which are 2.0". They have more oil for less dampening fade as well as the option for an external reservoir. You can get extended travel options if you have an aftermarket UCA that supports the extra travel, but its not much more than an inch in extra travel.
