Spoke to the shop that is installing my 5100 and told him that my truck was new with stock blisten and he said he would not change the back until they wear out and only add the two blisten up front.

I was in a similar situation with the same settings and removed the overload. The rake is just about perfect.

Yep, still a bit high in the back. There is a picture in my profile that shows a slight rake.

With the 1.5 Wheeler's, the truck handles a full load of gear and people way better than the mushy stock system did.

do you guys have before and after pictures?
I admit to my untrained eyes, they still look stock. If the difference is minimal and not noticeable is what is keeping me from doing the lift. Other than looks, is there any other PROs for getting the 1.5" lift?

    thanks

tnx. I can see the difference, particularly the back.
you don't have a tsb rear lift? your before rear looks low.
I think those pics in the non-lifted thread that shows higher rears have tsb rear leaf.

Yeah was non-TSB thats why i when with the add-in 3 leaf springs on the back for the extra support as well when carrying heavy stuff if i need to, might say hardly goes down when i fill the truck with firewood.
Havent carry anything crazy heavy, but i have gone camping trips no problem.

your after pic definitely looks better.
I have trd offroad 4x4, no tsb. I don't think my back is low. I do carry my armageddon stuff, in case the big one hits in CA. I might try just doing the larger tire size first, before spending the additional $500 or so for 5100s and AAL.

fwiw, this is the non lifted thread.

i know what you mean who knows what will happen here CALI, but if you going to lift it yeah can go with the tire first but have to make sure not to go too big it might rub, i gone to the thread with the nonlift few times before i got my lifted. Unfortunatelyi was lucky enough to fine a good deal a set of use tires here to put on on my truck.
So i jump on getting the lift online , so decided to do the work all in 2 days at a shop but first was the lift and then the mounting on the tires with alighment on the second day. Did looked weird having a lift with the stock tires :)

I might go little bigger later once i decided what i need to make it 3 inch.

about the old plates i have seen that thread, i have the originals on my mustang from 1968 :D thanks though.

    Good luck on your lift.

Without starting a new tread, my rear end drops more than usual. I'm thinking of ungrading all shocks to the 5100s. I don't have tsb. Should I just go with the 5100s in the rears or should I add a leaf? Are the shocks the issue why the rear end drops on bumps?
    Thanks

I believe you answer your own question buddy, if you never ever got the TSB done yeah you going to need to add a leaf on the back you would be fine no more sag on the rear when adding weight.

If you going to go with a better suspension you can always add the 5100's much better ride than stock. Later down the road if you like to lift it you can always adjust them.

    Good luck

I just read all 9 pages of this thread but I need to ask this to get things clear in my mind. I have the v6 so if I set the fronts to 1.75 I should get close to that amount of lift, not over that, right?

I have the stock 3 leaf springs with a helwig helper spring so the rear right now is about 2 inches higher than the front, maybe a little less.

I keep reading about the recall for springs so I think I'm just going to wait until I hear what the remedy is before I install the fronts. Supposedly we will know at the end of November what the recall will bring.

Can you enlighten me about the spring recall that you refer to in your post? Thanks.

Looking to get the 5100's all around and have the dealer do TSB and alignment to level it out. I'm about to order them from DownSouth Motorsports and see that there are 3 different types of rear shocks to choose from all giving different lifts,

    0-1.5" 24-186728 5100 Series
    2-2.5" 24-214667 5125 Series
    3-4" RCD BE5-B110-T5 5100 Series

I should be going with the standard 0-1.5" correct?

    Thanks.

Well I have measured mine and I am exactly 2.5 inches lower in front with standard three leaf pack in back I don't haul much so should I do the 2.5 setting on the billies when I get them? Or just go 1.75 to be safe?
