Yep! Took them 2 weeks to disassemble the motor, not a clue how long its gonna take them to build a new one. I know a new short block, head, timing chain, etc was all ordered yesterday. Can't wait to get it back and restart the 1000 mile break in again...

They blamed the cause to be over revved.. I 100% dissagree with that seeings how I never went over 4k that day and the car is a auto..

I think that is auto. They auto shifter looks like a manual style (with a leather boot)

FWD? I guess who sold it decided to do a FWD conversion for better fuel economy and less drivetrain loss! /end sarcasm

Picked up a brand new eibach pro kit off CL for $140.

Dude also had a brand new set of 17x7.5 +45 wheels with new 235/45/17 pilot super sports, comes with lugs and machined aluminun hub centric rings, and road hazard for a year on the tires...

Was going to go with 18s but I'm unsure now. He's offering me the wheels at a great price.. Opinions on should I just buy a set if 18s or just rock these 17s?

How do the stock struts hold up with springs?

I remember on the Subaru, they wouldn't last long. Not sure if FRS/BRZ use Subaru or Toyota struts

    That sucks :(

At least you get to pick out a new setup tho.

I stopped in the dealer today to pick up my ecu, my car looked so sad missing the engine and all. Pretty much all the new motor parts were there, hopefully I'll be picking it up in 2-3 weeks..

Picking up the 17s tomorrow, figured they would make for better dailys then ill buy a set of 18s I can toss on for car shows and whatnot

Got the new wheels/tires today. Gotta love tirerack.com, ordered them at 1pm yesterday, they mounted and balanced them by the end of the day and they arrived at 11am today.

Nice, looks like the same tires. I got Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the stock size, 215/45R17 on 17x8 Enkei EDR9 wheels with +38mm offset. Think I need some mud flaps now. The short spin around the block I took after getting them on was a little cringe worthy with all the salt and cinders still on the roads around here.

Added Rally Armor mud flaps so I can stop cringing from all the shit hitting the side of the car with the new wheels. I have them tucked in as far as they go, seems like a nice flush fit with the wheels that are flush to the fenders now.
