Mixing 95% tires with 100% tires

I found a good deal on 2 BFG AT KO tires on Craigslist ($50/tire). They have 95% tread left. Can I mix them with 2 brand new tires or will the 5% difference cause problems?

Get them and run them on the rear. Buy two new ones and run them on the front. Run them up there until they start to look like the used ones and rotate.

 

So are you saying to run the used ones in front? I figured the rear would wear faster than the front because the truck is rear wheel drive.

Front tires wear quicker, unless you do nothing but spin your back tires.
