Yeah. In the long run it would be great in theory and be cheaper.

I remember hearing from a foreign exchange student one time that all the power infrastructure was placed in the ground in Germany and some other countries....not much for visible power lines anywhere. A process called "undergrounding" or something like that

It'd take years to start the movement, years to pass the project on and then probably 100 years to replace all the road ways. But its still an amazing idea!

My area used to be like that....but ever since i started driving....you better believe when i walk away from my truck, i am SPAMMING THE SHIT OUT OF that lock button on my key fob all the way to the store/house/wherever lol

 

solar stuff is getting pretty efficient

Even if the US made all new roads the solar roads it would have a big impact on available electricity.
Just make the interstates in nowhereville NM, AZ, and TX the solar roads, they get a lot of sun there.

 

I would exclaim it was the most "sacred" and "special" electricity that they could possibly ever be graced by.....all because it came from my home, my sacred grounds, where my all powerful self resides.
