If anyone wants to come drink beer and watch/help me put in a twin stick this weekend you're welcome. I'm doing it this weekend regardless but I'll never turn down a drinking buddy, that's half of what working on vehicles is right? :D

I would be happy to if I was there. I'm currently back in VA and decided to stay another week. I won't be up in WNY till the 2nd.

This is the stuff that happens with our local TW group. Say "Mod Day" and 25 Tacos show up... as well as one FJ. Crazy shit. 4 full lifts and bunches of mini mods!:D

Damn man, that's awesome! Definitely not nearly that active here unfortunately. The jersey guys get together fairly frequently but I haven't seen anything in NY. Maybe we can change that

No kidding! I was jonesing for a meet when I came back to VA 2 weeks ago. We meet AT LEAST once a month... always like a dozenish trucks.

In Buffalo... my truck is like a freak! People stare at it... take pictures at intersections... talk to me about it... it's wierd!!!! I'm starting to think I should charge for rides or rent it out!!! LOL!!!!!

Yeah the people up here are a bit clueless, I got asked if I had aftermarket tires the other day.

Whenever people ask if I do anything with my truck they're confused more than anything when I tell them. Seems like everyone just likes chrome rims and pretty paint. I'm guessing it's just because there isn't much legal wheeling around.

There are some more active jeep groups around the area though.

I passed a first gen all lifted a couple weeks back in Bflo... we admired each other but were going opposite directions. In 7 weeks it was the only heavily modded taco I saw.

There are some chrome rims up there, that's for damn sure!!!! :D

I think the big thing with central NY is the fact that we have so many State Forests but so few paths in those places, and you can't really make your own path with out looking for trouble. Ah well at least there is someplace to go when I wanna go out driving, even if it's jut driving on muddy roads.

agreed, It took me about 6 months of searching to plan dirt mcgirt 2013. I had mainly dec roads, and found a few fun trails that had med-deep mudholes, and some terrain to have to actually think about to make it through. I HAVE NOT HAD TIME THIS YEAR TO MAP OUT A NEW RUN FOR DIRT MCGIRT. Im hoping to have something put together for a fall run this year instaed of spring. It just takes some exploring and time to find the fun stuff. Dirt Mcgirt kept us out in the woods and trails for around 6hrs, Id say that was pretty good for this area. Stocknessmonster is always posting about tug hill area. It seems like that area would be fun and I want to make it up there to run with him.

Not if you spend the weekend, I got a cabin up there, on 60 acres way off the road, you can do what ever you want. It's on the west side of Tug Hill, right off RT 81 about 8 miles below Barnes Corners near Lorraine. Lots of trails to run locally. AS long as people would treat it properly, I have no problem letting people either use the camp, or camp on the property. Just an offer if you get up that way,it's easy to find.

I have a couple teenagers that want to go to the Mudfest, and we are going to try and make it. If it works out and we can , we would be game for something. I don't get over that side of the hill too much, and am not very familiar with it, we run the Worth-Waite trails,to Culpepper Rd. ,Tug Hill Inn on Salmon River Road, Little John Forest, and Winona areas mostly, but always looking for something new.
