After 8-1/2 years in 2 different Tacoma's, I have decided it is my time to jump ship. They were both fantastic trucks.

I decided to go back to an Auto trans, and I spent a few weeks looking at my options. I didn't need a full size truck, although there are some nice ones out there, and I was getting a little bored so I didn't want to go with another Tacoma. As I'm not as young as Springtime anymore and I never do any offroading or camping, (did alot when I was younger) I went with the Ridgeline urban assault vehicle.

So, flame on if you will, but I like it and it does everything I need it to do.

FWIW, it is a 2012 RTL, with 21k miles. Certified.

***I kept my Extang Trifecta cover, and I have it listed for sale in the classifieds.

I'll keep ckecking in, just wanted to say thanks for all the laughs and knowlege I gained.

    Alan

Obligatory "hang your balls up on the way out" lol. Just kidding man enjoy the new truck, life's to short to care about what other people think of your ride.

The thing about ridgelines is that they are the least truck like vehicle on the market that is advertised as being a truck. It's more of a crossover 4x4 SUV with a bed on it

I wouldn't own one but good luck with it

I'm 71 and bot my first Taco, a 2013 in Aug, sr5, access cab, 4X4, wheels, tow package....Wonder how old he is to be too old for a Tacoma? I love mine, on a 4000 mile trip averaged 20 mpg, ranging between 19.7 to 21.5. A 2 wheel drive Silverado or F150 strains to get that, plus mine fits in the garage and parking spaces.

The only downside to Honda-Timing belt on the 3.5 which Honda recommends to change every 60k under certain conditions but I wouldn't run it past 60k after reading some stories.

Nice find. I own a Element and it's been rock solid.

OP will probably use it the same way he did with a Tacoma. At least he's not a poser.

I don't care what you buy. But why the need to advertise it? Another completely useless thread :frusty:

Your money your truck so its good that you got what you wanted. Haters are going to hate no matter what. Personally I think thats a good looking truck.

I agree and if I wanted a little more truck utility than an SUV provides, the Ridgeline is tough to beat. I love every Tacoma I've ever owned (I've had seven) although the. ' 92 technically not a Tacoma so to speak. Point is Tacomas are great, but if your not both feet in with owning a truck, the Tacoma is not as comfortable or as roomy, nor does it ride as smooth as a Honda Ridgeline (And I really am not a Ridgeline fan) The looks just arnt my cup of tea.

Op, beware of the mpg, I've heard it not that good for what it is. Although I have heard they tow fairly well.
