On an unrealted note, I'm pumped right now. I just scored a set of used Tundra Icon's and TC upper control arms for $150. Going to rebuild the Icon's and sell the TC's, so I should come out ahead on this one!

you guys have issues with your inner CV boots pulling away and flinging grease? Not the ones on the shafts, the ones at the diff. Its constantly flinging and my angles are great, i dont really understand. I replaced clamps and still does it.

Im close to buying the ones from SDHQ but do not want to pull my whole front end apart.

Yeah and the guy was in Florida. He wanted $50 for both and I kept bugging him to ship even though he didn't want to. Ended up agreeing on $75 plus shipping (I offered $300 at one point) and he sent them out today. I'm pumped because I'll be getting free Icon's plus some cash in the end. Might have to invest in UCA's or a new steering rack now.

I've never seen them pull away, but mine ripped. I'd replace the boots with long travel boots as they will not get as stretched, but you still have to pull everything apart and reboot, which is messy.

Do you have a clamp on the axle side of the boot?

Try going w/o the axle end clamp. It let's the axle slide free a bit more during travel. Makes it not want to grab and pull off the CV. Look at most class 1's and 10 cars. Our boot kit's seal tight at the axle, so no grease get's out from there.

    Hope that makes sense.

Haha randomly found it on a US Craigslist search. The guy was so confused as to why I wanted them so bad and asked if I worked for Icon brcause I mentioned rebuilding them. I still can't believe he was asking $50 since it's $2k worth of parts new.

Unfortunately the UCA's are for a Tundra orherwise I would use them myself. I'll see what shape they're in and hopefully make enough to get some UCA's myself.

Went to signal peak today, got some new scratches on my new sliders hahaha. And on my wheels. Trail was pretty rutted out so being open in the rear there was some difficult obstacles but she did good.
