Yeah rampart is more fun with a dirt bike. I've been eye balling a few ktm's. I'm sure I'll snag another one at some point. I don't ride slow on mine but I've raced my whole life. My 750 has independent rear suspension so it's wicked smooth even at 65mph riding in gulches. If you ever get down south ride the bull gulch loop out of Texas creek it's a great loop and it's generally not busy at all. My daughter is still to young to ride so it's just my wife and I. Once she is old enough to ride she will get one, but after that she will be getting a dirt bike for sure.

i always rode atvs, then when i started looking into getting a new 4x4 quad last summer i ended up just buying a new rhino, it was only 1500 more and i can use it for 10x more stuff that a quad. ill probably never own another quad after having a SxS. for the most part it fits down all of the same trails and it will climb anything better than a quad. I've climbed shit in my rhino without trying that nobody else could get up its like a damned goat

Yeah my buddies have the rzr 1000, and 900 and I'm yet to find something they can climb that I can't. I love the sxs, if I had land I would get a Polaris ranger xp 900.

This is what I've been getting around on for the last couple weeks. Waiting on a rear diff from ECGS and an axle...should have the taco back home on saturday!

There's something epic about blue on a KTM.

As a former tuning fork hoon, I agree. I would have got a Tenere, but they are turds. Hard to beat 115HP in a 450lb bike with real suspension...

That's awesome! I don't know much about adventure bikes, since I've only ever ridden motocross bikes.

Watching round 2 of motocross on the DVR right now, and getting pumped to go ride again in the morning! I'll have to try to get some good GoPro footage.

Me neither. I've always had motocross bikes too, this is my first "street legal" bike ever. I just ride it like it's a dirtbike. The only difference near as I can tell is that it will do 140mph and it's a little harder to pick up off the ground when you take a digger. When you are riding you don't really feel the weight. That, and it's smoother at speed. I had a built CR500 that dyno'd at 104 HP and ran on nitro/methanol. It was stupid fast. I sold it after I rode this bike. It would eat it alive, and do so comfortably. I also sold my WR450F and WR250F, because I can do almost anything those three bikes did with this one KTM. Oh, and it's street legal so I can ride it to the trail, do the loop, and ride home. Fuck trailers. :D

Yeap, it was a gift from my father, friend of a friend story, most of the changes already done, it was years back so I can't remember everything. Rath frame, stock cracked and came with deal for proof of ownership. Motor been bored out, LTE with Vortex ignition. It will get out of its own way for sure. I've owned some fast toys, 03 R1, 93 RX7 being the fastest and this thing is ridiculous.

For sure, I had to get a new rear grab handle, broke the original but was one hellofa wheelie :p that same day my father said he wished his could do that, sportsman 800, I said sure it will, let me show you, jumped on and dragged his hitch across the play area. He now does it all the time and has the bottom of the hitch so shaved that you can't remove it anymore. I'm looking to put some bars on mine next but I've been focusing on getting more done to the Harley.
