    1 was 1.06 and 40 was 2.60. Trimmed the tip a little for more adjustment and now 1 is 1.25 and 40 is 2.2

    Spruce, I mounted it on my tool box on the drivers side

    Keep going then. 1 & 40 should be pretty close to the same SWR reading unless you are intentionally trying to bias the antenna toward one end of your channel range. If you get them close then the reading on 20 should drop down close to 1.
