Seriously, one time I had to go prone while there was dew on the grass. My gun passed that water torture test like a champ.

Most .mil rifles won't see 1000rds in an entire deployment. Hell most won't see a full mag. And most rounds fired in a combat zone are misses. Go watch a couple vids from MGM Ironman or Fallen Brethren. These guys will put hundreds if not 1000+ rds through a rifle in a weekend while expecting first round hits every time. The military an LEO has been looking to the competition world for training for years. There's a reason for that.

And neither member of their shooting team is using the piston gun in competition

Please tell me more about how little Marines in southern Helmand and Sangin shoot their rifles. And tell me how when we shoot, we don't expect to put rounds on target. I don't need to watch some 3 gunner shoot at lifeless targets. The men we hunted and killed moved and shot back. Comparing the two isn't even possible. Let's hear about how 3 gunners have taught us fire and maneuver, surviving an L shaped ambush, and how to dodge grenades and IEDs. Truth is, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

We're talking rifles not tactics. You do understand the difference don't you. And I've seen the average Marine and Soldiers skill with a rifle. Its generally not impressive. But its your money and your weapon, be as foolish with them as you wish.

Why waste your money on ome 886s? You could have done spacers. It's foolish to spend money on springs to lift your truck when spacers can do the same.

You make the assumption that pistons are better just more expensive. Similar to your 886 vs spacer comment. You miss the point. At any price gas impingement is a better design than the gas piston guns. Gas piston actions have been around longer than DI, it was nothing unknown to Stoner when he designed to rifle. He chose not to use it and go DI for a simpler and more durable design. The idea that pistons make a gun more reliable is pure marketing bullshit. Had it originally been built as a piston gun and years later a new DI version had hit the market that offered smoother recoil impulse, better accuracy and less moving parts y'all would also be dick riding it instead.

That thing looks good, is it 7.62 x39 or 51?

TRUTH. I have more rounds through my AR in a year then my brother in the marines and my friend who's a sgt. in the army COMBINED. I shot 1500 in one day... Dry. No FTF or FTE. Piston is a solution to a problem which never existed. It's not necessary unless shooting suppressed. Even then, no one I know that has a suppressed DI weapon has ever had a problem with it.

And as I stated earlier, two brand new piston LWRCi rifles I've shot had constant FTF and FTE.

They're different piston systems... Just saying. The AR piston platform isn't the greatest. I'll take any of the weapons you listed over a piston AR.
