Have you tried it? A lot of Iowans say they wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but I want to live anywhere but here. Most of them have never ventured out of this corn hole.

I heard that Belize is a nice place to live. Its a couple hundred miles south of Cancun Mexico. English is the official language, the US dollar exchange rate is favorable and of course there are those oh so hot Latin-American women. :D SPICY!

North Carolina is jam packed with industry yet has the beaches in the outer banks and the mountains in the western part of the state. All this and NO personal property tax. Ok....and the not-so-hot semi-toothless hillbilly women.

    Interesting thread.

Reading this thread makes me wonder how many people have acutally lived in a location other than where they are currently living (and I'm not talking 50 miles down the road). I've also noted most people seem to the believe their own location is the best.

    1 - the PNW
2 - west of the Cascades
3 - west of the Rockies
Every place has its economic, meteorlogical, political issues - but IMHO the above 3 have a favorable balance. There is always a market for hardworking, skilled, non-entitled employees.

    And non US
    1 - Port Douglas / Cairns Australia
    2 - Rest of Australia
    3 - BC
