I am having a problem with my 04 Tacoma 4x4 Double cab SR5. The transmission jerks when I reach 50 mph, when the overdrive is on, but when the overdrive is off, I don't have a problem. The jerking will continue until I let off of the gas. The truck only has 100.000 miles and has been driven softly. Any help will be appreciated.

Have you changed trans fluid, might be as simple as that. Have you checked linkage to tranny?

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Sounds like an issue with the lock up clutch.

A gentle tap to the brake pedal will turn the converter clutch off . If the vibration goes away for a couple seconds after you tap the brake pedal , you either have an engine missfire or there is an issue with the converter clutch .
For what its worth , when did you do your last tune up ?
Denso spark plugs , spark plug wires , air and fuel filter .
Have you cleaned your throttle body , mass air flow sensor and idle air control sensor?
try tapping the brakes very lightly when the vibration occurs to verify the jerking is caused by the converter clutch application

I agree, but instead of tapping the brake, keep your foot on the accelerator, and put the brake on just far enough to activate the brake lights. That tells the transmission controller to not lock up in overdrive. If the jerking goes away with the brake light on, you found the problem.
