For the group: Maybe a silly question but a serious one non-the-less...
I can see the purpose in using the wire wrap on multiple small wires, to keep it clean/organized. However, when just running single big wires (sized over 4AWG), whats the point?
That sized wire/cable I've used always has really thick shielding already, so I don't see any chaffing preventative benefit. Is it just for looks? 'Cause it looks really cool

 

4runner question, helped a military guy point front quick struts on his 4runner yesterday. He had some for the rear but the shocks were in good condition but now his ass end is saggin. Where is the best place to buy a set of rear springs prolly something in the 1-2" lift range?

I have probably 10ft each of the black and red tech flex, a new heat gun with a bunch of shrink wraps etc. I chose to do the tech flex primarily for looks. Saw it in another install thread and it looks factory and clean. I will eventually do my smaller wires. I think that the shrink wrap makes all the difference. Especially on the smaller wires.

 

It is mainly for aesthetics...however, when it is on there, it helps with running the cable too. The rubber grips pretty well, this prevents that from happening

Makes sense... for a long run, say to the cargo bay/truck bed passing thru multiple bulkheads and around "stuff", this would make that easier and provide an extra layer of protection from stripping off shielding while you pull thru.

What GEN? I know on the older ones everyone liked using two rear driverside Land Cruiser springs for 2" of lift...
