For anyone that cares, nascar won the weekend with 7M viewers; pacers-heat had 6.8 and Indy 500 had 5.9m. This is in the US. Would be interesting to see worldwide and also if Kurt Busch wasn't pulling the double. Don't know what last year was.

I don't think kurt pulling the double increased viewership much

It didn't, Indy 500 last year was 5.7M average compared to 5.9M this year

I was a more of a fan a few years ago. Since they seem to like to change the rules/points every year I've lost interest in NASCAR.
I've been to Pocono, Dover, Richmond, and Martinsville races. Had a good time at all except Pocono.
Can't see that tunnel turn no matter where you sit!
Also the dominance of Hendricks gets a bit old when your a HD guy. ;)

Chris, you'll like my pick for this weekend at the monster. Going with Kyle Busch.

really though only one team from Hendricks has really dominated. Would have been interesting if Kyle were still with Hendricks if he would have anything for jj and chad.

I don't put too much stock into qualifying, but these teams try really hard to get the pole and Keselowski has started on the front row 8/13 times this year, freaking impressive.

2 down, 1 to go, bring out the broom!

Kyle is 1 for 8 in sweep attempts, last four attempts at a sweep he finished 2nd in Cup.

He's the only driver to pull a triple, last was in '10 at Bristol.

This will be his 2nd sweep, sticking with Busch.

Guess you can cross "seeing Kyle Busch wins truck race or nationwide race" off your bucket list about 800 times.

Man these short tracks are killing Danica. She better get herself a lot more confidence, and aggression if she wants to do anything good at tracks like these. That qualifying position is not good at all. Sadly when the race starts, the front row will already be into turn 3 by the time the back of the pack is able to get to the starting line. lol. Ah well, Still going to be pulling for her.

On a side note I have to really say that while I used to have the utmost respect for Richard Petty, he has really started to come off like a prick. This latest comment of his was just another of him showing just how much of a sexist a-hole he is.

Red flag track repair, hole is 6x8 and 2" deep, tore up mcmurrays splitter

Right on an expansion joint, don't know if the new ride height rules are causing splitters to dig into track more but I do know they had to repair that spot after the nationwide race
