Finally getting around to making my first post. I bought the truck about a month ago, and I love it so far! I drove into town today and bought oil change supplies. Snapped a quick picture on the way out.

Did two things today (well to be fair one was a multiday)

First - Tested the Brakes and ABS in my truck. how did i do this? By having to slam my brakes as a beat up little white ford ranger screamed out of a parking lot right in front of me without even stopping. Mind you this is turning onto my road and 100 ft up or so there is a storage place. Their road has hedges on either side so you cant see if anyone is coming or not till pretty much at the road. Just turned on and got up to 30-35mph and out they come screaming. Brakes did their job though the back did slide a bit sideways. The kids driving were VERY lucky i stopped. They had a guy in the bed and once they saw me they slammed their brakes. Not that it did any good except leave their ass end in my lane. But had i hit them going 35 that kid in the back would have gone flying. just them braking hard he flew into the rear windows.

Scared the living shit out of me but the best part was an older couple saw the whole thing and as i started driving again the guy was thumping at his heart and his wife (i assume) was doing the "phew" motion across her forehead. So i went from almost shitting myself to at least having a racing heart but a smile on my face thanks to those two :)

Mod number two (and three i suppose but whatever) came at the cost of my cordless drill (just a ryobi cordless) :(
    [IMG]

Plastidipped the rear bumper and all the badges. Looks much better except for my ugly stock rims now lol. Also went ahead and moved my towing harness plugin thingy, which is also where the drill spun its last breath. Drilling out the 2" hole for the thingy (lack of words come to mind on what to call it lol) the drill started smoking from the motor. Let it cool down and went to do it again and it smoked again. Got the hole done and was drilling the bolt holes when it finally decided it had enough abuse from me. Managed to get the holes drilled though! But now it just makes the worst noise when trying to spin and wont go faster than probably 10rpm. It was a good drill. it and i have been through a ton in its almost three years of life. Its screwed many a things together and drilled many a holes. May it RIP in drill heaven now.

Still need to fit the fog lamps into the bumper once I figure out what direction I'm going with as far as color as well as fit my DRL kit. Then it's wiring time and I'll be all set.

Got bored and plasti-dipped my rear bumper. First time using the stuff. Not the best looking thing but, it'll do until I can get a real bumper on it.

I got the same ones! Was it from k2 motor? I saw in another post that there was some dust on the inside. Mine had a little dust in there too, guess the person whose job it is to seal them back doesn't pay much attention to detail. But I'm a person who notices EVERYTHING lol
