If you dust it in black paint and put a black grill on you will hardly notice it!

Well see. Ill have to test fit it this week. If it looks promising Ill probably talk some brackets with Brent on Saturday. Ive seen a thread on mounting it how I currently plan and they mentioned that they had to move the AC lines and CXRacing mentioned the same thing... Too much work for me.

This will also allow me to mount my trans cooler (which is big as shit).

have you thought about an A2W intercooler setup? would allow you to run what ever bumper winch combo you wanted and would cool a bit better on slow trails!

    I have... A bit $$$ though...
Its a relief, let me tell you. That said, lots more shit to do so it was a short lived relief.

Dont want to do this... Damn. Can I replace the pipes with hoses or are they pipes for a reason?

You can make them into hoses but would need to rerout the accumulator and cooler (I forgot what that AC radiator thing is called). One of my AC pipes got a crack in it so I'm probably going to convert it to hose... Instead of buying the 1' pipe for $120
Edit: actually it looks like there is enough room in your style grill to leave the AC cooler alone and just have to mess with the accumulator.

Charge hoses? I wouldn't use hose. Hose flexes which will change boost response and efficiency in the holy system.

I'm like 95% sure he's talking about the air conditioner hoses and the aluminum pipes that you can see in our grill that go to and from the AC accumulator.
And for the charge pipes, the air density in there changes so much in a turbo system anyway with the IC and reducers... I doubt that it would make a less efficient system. And reinforced silicone does a better job of insulating the post IC air that is supposed to be cool.
I've never seen anyone go straight silicone but I know I'm not going to mess with custom bent aluminum tubing for my future front mount project :)

Almost forgot I had this thread. Been so busy finding a new career (getting out of the Navy in Aug :()

I think Ill stick with the original mount plan for now. Shouldn't be too hard to go around the lines.

A quick update: Finished wiring up the FIC and injectors. Initially ran like hell when i started it, turned out I didnt have the fuel tables properly configured so I was dumping in 2x's the gas needed!

Also installed the new Old Man Emu leafs. Noticed my leaf shackles are bent, probably from the accident, so another trip to the collision center. Also have a leaky trans pan seal from the trans shop so have to take it back there too

    Leaf install:

Yes. Def a two person job.

No, no wideband yet. That will be hooked up to the Cx down pipe when I get the kit installed. I ready to do the install except for the exhaust. I need to save up ~$500 to cover the exhaust parts/work after the install.

Are you going full custom exhaust, or are you going to reduce it down to stock and use the same cat and muff?
