Wouldn't be a bad idea haha. I've given it some thought. I don't think I could run 15" rims then though

Yeah, new truck had better brakes, my 05 ain't new. But have some family friends over and they just got a new rav4 and I think they like it, they had a highlander with super low miles they sold for 8700

Need at least 17" rims then I think

Edit: rims, wheels, I mix the terms

Or is it a 16" rim?

I got performance rotors and pads and when I put them on it was a day and night difference I have to say

Ohh and also I had my drums adjusted nothing more and it felt way better after that. By adjusted I'm not talking the front back braking ratio

Mine were fine. And I do believe it is 16s you can run tundra calipers and rotors. Wheels and rims are the same thing Matt haha

I would like the tundra brake upgrade, but I don't want to get rid of my 15" rims. Compared to the brakes of modern cars, mine are absolute shit.

I wouldn't mind it but it would be a ton of money in the end with the rims and all.

You at least have the 16" rims to start with that will bring down the price. I've never looked into actually changing to that. Does anyone know how hard the install is?

Idk if the second gens can do the swap. I know the 1st gens can. Apparently you just have to drill out some holes bigger, and grind something down a bit. Then you can get some junkyard first gen tundra calipers, and some new pads and rotors

Ohh, I'd have to check, but I thought 2nd gens could. Haven't looked in a while though

when is the last time you guys did a full flush of your brake system? if the fluid is more than a few years old it probably has a shit ton of water in it as brake fluid is hydroscopic... that would make for brakes that dont stop very well.

Mine is probably original lol. When I did my brakes, I cleaned and refilled my brake reservoir. Like I said, I need to get it looked at

I am gonna get mine flushed soon and see if it helps. Took my truck on the highway today and it actually rode nice lol, need to make a longer trip soon though to see if it's actually good

did you flush the entire system though? you got the crud in the reservoir but did you get all the crud in the lines and replace that fluid?
