Looking into getting a signal processor/amp to add to my 2014 Premium Entune stereo..

Well, I've had my new 2014 DCSB for about a month now. I'm well into tweaking and modding (minor by forum standards) and have been considering what to do with the stock sound system. Before I bought the truck I assumed I would swap out the factory HU for a decent aftermarket unit, but I've found that I'm pretty fond of the features the stock unit has and I really like the various integration. So, I'm now considering adding a signal processor of some type (Audison, JL Cleansweep, Zapco, and I think Alpine might make something?) and an amp. I've seen various threads on here where people have used some of these brands (along with LOC's) but I'm really curious to hear how satisfied people are with their systems, especially on the later Entunes. The sound on the stock system is decent....but lacking, and I'd really love to get sound that approaches aftermarket quality. It sounds like the installs wouldn't be too terribly hard, and the closer to plug and play the better.

Lovin the truck! Just need a few more tweaks.

 

What do you do with the sub? My 2013 has the same set up. I don't want to alter the space used by the speaker and it's kinda small.

 

Sounds lovely! Do you have this set-up or have you heard it? This is exactly the direction I would like to go, I'm just wondering if it sounds primo.

 

Mine doesn't have a sub. I just have the Premium Entune which has six speakers in the doors, but not a sub behind the rear seat. You must have the JBL system?

 

Beautiful! Thanks very much for the feedback! I think I will give this a shot. If I can clean the sound up I will be a happy camper. I'm not an audiophile, but it's irritating listening to the stock equipment knowing it could be much improved.

 

Yes, it's the JBL. I didn't know there was a difference.
