I love that machine! Really helps when you don't have a spotter and want to get those extra reps, you just set it slightly lighter and push yourself to do as many as you want.

Really helped me with wide grips because I cannot do more than 1 by myself. Lol (Last time I checked)

This is exactly what I am saying.

I haven't used a barbell this much in a long time and my hands are toast.

I only lasted an hour and a half on my bike before I had to take a break lol.

I tip my hat, that is dedication man. Awesome for you, and yes I do stand corrected... As well as standing by my original statement though!

Another thing for me is this; I see my grades as priority (NOT that anyone else doesn't) and I see the gym as another, lesser priority. However, I feel like if I end the semester with anything less that president's list, then I have spent too much time either on the computer or in the gym and because of that I made a B, when I should have been studying. I feel there is only room for extracurriculars if I have all A's. Missed president's list first semester by 2 points in one class :( But I got it this year!

    I call them "bitch packs"
I don't think Zach(ary?) was referring to anyone here though.

You may be paying for it now, but what if you HAD kept it off the back burner in school? Would the opportunity cost have been something more important? Not rhetorical, just throwing it out there. And thank you for the advice, you are right. I will try harder next semester to go to the gym often. Made possible also because I am not coming back to work next semester.

    FIFY

I just realized you did 5 years in 4, I mis read your post. That's a lot of school to take on at once man!^^

It sucks sometimes, hit the gym when I can usually early morning or late night

And Danielle you do just as much as me and still make time for the gym so you rock too!

Thanks! Yeah, that's just how the engineering is here for scholarship recipients. Not a huge deal because most everyone else does it in four years too, so you don't really notice it because you have strength in numbers. But I've only completed freshman year... Insert foot in mouth!

Yes it is a lot but thankfully my university is very helpful and since we are highly ranked in engineering they tend to keep an eye on us!

That was my thought process at the time, but now I am working 40-50hrs a week at a big girl job, maintaining hobbies & friends and still manage 6 workouts a week. Granted I got my undergrad degree in one-hellofa major and graduated with honors, I still think I could have time managed better. Just know you're not alone and it is doable, one silly cliché that struck home with me when I first heard it was "A 1 hour workout, is a mere 4% of your day." Just remember we all have the same 24 hours to work with, make them work for you ;)

Thanks Patty Cakes, you know I gotta keep my lady muscles in check around all you sexy beasts! See you at the next post workout Chipotle run, or perhaps tomorrow at the Meet xoxo

You are right! I do need to make time. I actually spent the first couple weeks of 2nd semester staying in the rec center 6 hours a day! I spent about 2 hours working out, an hour rock climbing+running, and 2-3 hours playing racquetball with my HS friends. Talk about go go go!! And when the first round of tests came around, I could no longer do it. I made in this order, 68,71,81 on my first three of 6 calculus II tests, feeling I made a 90+ on each one. Through heavy prayer, studying, and even some academically dishonest help (another section of the course had similar tests to ours one day before, helped with what to study) I pulled an A! Speaking of 4% of our day... I need to make time for (semi)daily mass too and stop putting it off.

Thanks for the advice! My plan is to this semester START OFF making As that way I don't have to play catch-up.

Freshman year (before things went too downhill) I bought a voice recorder and would record my lectures and read back my notes, then convert them and download them to my ipod. I would listen while training, it was great study time! Repetitive listening is a great memorization technique for the sorts of classes you'll be taking and recorders are cheap!

Great idea but... Uh... I am not that motivated. Lol I would rather cram in a study group, yes a fault of mine.. More power to you! I don't even know how I'm gonna work out tomorrow, getting up for work in less than 6 hrs
