    Looking to buy my first lift ever for my 04' tacoma, was going to go with a Toytec 3" lift with OME front coils and the add a leaf. Planning on getting the bilstein rear shocks. Can someone tell me if I am going with a good lift kit. Should the front shocks be ok also?

    you have to have different shocks up front if youre running bigger coils. look at the adjustable 5100s

    Changed my rear diff and transfer case oil with Royal Purple 75w-90 gear oil. Attempted to do the front diff as well but didn't realize I would need a 12 mm hex bit! I also greased my driveshafts with Royal Purple grease. Now all of my fluids except coolant, brake fluid, and power steering fluid are Royal Purple. These other fluids are all Toyota. I love being consistent with all fluids I run in my truck. I stand behind Royal Purple and love all of their products!

    put some longer shackles on today. needed a cheap way to level out the truck when it is loaded up. Sits a little high now but there is no load in the bed.

    When I was installing the shackles I noticed both of my rear bllsteins were covered in oil….they are maybe 2 years old……might be time for OME. I have to act fast as we are going on a month long camping wheeling trip starting late June.

    fully armored, 4.88, 33 skinnies, tundra brakes, a REAL cold air intake.
    don't get the bilsten 5100 in the rear, they suck, they don't dampen heavy loads and they limit your down travel. Go with the OME all the way around, I wish I had.

    So if I were to get that kit and the set of the 5100 bilstein shocks and I'd be set?

    :eek::eek:

    someone with a low post count has common sense.

    depending on how many miles on the rear leafs you might want to look into a new leaf pack all together. and i say 5100 adjustables up front that way if you add weight up front you can bump the setting up to compensate for the weight
