    What trail you looking at running? I don't want to do anything crazy like John Bull or Holcomb. Just ordered a new Pelfrey bumper, so I need my stock bumper to stay intact for the next 12 weeks untill I get it. How is 2N06X to the easy side of Holcomb (after crazy rock garden)? Maybe Gold Mt. after that? Haven't done either. Also I'm available Sunday as well.

    I sold the Cruiser to Carlos, a friend of the family. Scott will be in his TJ and Carlos will be in the FJ, and I will be in my Tacoma. It has had a few mods done to it. We'll see how it does now, Kevin.

    I'm out, I just took a 20 mph tumble off my Mt. bike. Jacked up my arm and shoulder pretty bad.

    Yo Allen, what happen to you? We lost you. Calling on the radio, and Billy turned around to go look for you. Had lunch at the bottom of John Bull, waiting for you to show. :D

    Hope you are ok. No fun hitting the ground. That's one reason I quit racing MX...

    It was a bit of a struggle due to the size of my tires, but I made it. Ran over to Holchom and walked right thru it until we got to the gate keeper at the west end. I wanted to go left, Scotty directed me to go right. Like a fool I follow my spotter and got hung up.
    Now Scott had driven into a giant hole and stood his Jeep on its nose. Thought he was going to lose it. Hooked on and pulled him out. When he got me high centered I was thinking hey this is the guy that drove into a hole, why am I following his directions. LOL.
    Crawlbox works like a champ. So nice to be able to crawl thru things.
    Got some pictures I will try to get them up later today, Kevin.

    That's no good. I did that last year but at around 13 MPH. I couldn't do a pull-up for a month and it took me about 4 months to where it didn't hurt. Pushing movements still are painful though.

    Met up at the trail head of Gold MTN at 0900, and everybody arrived by 0930 due to traffic coming up the hill. We had my sons Scotty and Billy in TJ and YJ. Allen show with his Taco, and two of Scott's friends Rick and Jay in their Rubicons.
    We started up and came to the first obstacle. My son Scott tried it head on but the holes were to deep, so he came at it at an angle;

    Allen chose to go over little further to the side and walked right up;

    The rest of us took the easier line, which isn't as easy as it used to be;

    We pretty much walked right thru Gold MtN and went thru the rock garden;
    bigbear060114010_zps0c43a90a_5cf27c607b94f2d27e1240b3ad0d07dfa8c79c2c.jpg

    And then headed down the other side to 3N16. We all cruised over to run John Bull, but somewhere along the way we lost Allen. We stopped and Billy ran back to look for him while we were yelling for him on the radio. No joy, so we headed over to John Bull and had lunch at the east end hoping that he would show. We started up and I definitely need taller tires but manage to walk up with alittle help in guiding. Boy the hood on a Tacoma is big, and you just have to take it on faith at times that you are still on the line that you chose.

    My son-in-law Billy having a bad day;

    bigbear060114017_zps0cf2c46c_d2b361f6233aa217e9969a619b4344eaa4f90141.jpg

    Once we got done with John Bull, Scotty's friends had to bug out, so my boys and I headed over to Holchom Creek trail. Were walking thru it like water thru a goose, until Scotty decided to try a different line and stood his Jeep on it nose. The picture doesn't show it, but his rear end came off the ground and damn near laid it on its side;

    bigbear060114032_zps5ad0b019_cd3fcbde4e5e5f426a3d3f11eac216d2896c0b0d.jpg

    We got to the West gate keeper and I managed to walk thru the rocks with no problem. Got out and decided to stay to the left so I could keep my driver tires on the bigger rocks so I wouldn't get high center on the gatekeeper. As I was starting to climb up those rocks on the left , my son who was guiding me had me cut to the passenger side. Huh? Thought we agreed to the driver side, but I followed his directions, and got high center.

    bigbear060114033_zpsf33f910d_69f190e35bc9203ae27941b7a56fe74f864b6292.jpg

    Damn it, why was I following my son's directions. This is the guy that just drove into a big hole, and here I was listening to him. Need to have my head examine.

    bigbear060114033_zpsf33f910d_69f190e35bc9203ae27941b7a56fe74f864b6292.jpg

    Scotty hooked me with his winch and probably didn't pull me 6 inches and I was free. Billy walked right thru it. Any how it was a long day so we headed thru the forest back home.

    had RST install a crawl box in my Taco, and it worked flawlessly. So much nicer to engage compound low and to creep over the rocks. If you have even thought about a crawl box for your truck, I couldn't recommend it enough. Wyatt is a really nice guy, and does first class work. Kevin
