    Morning all:
Don't feel lonely MQQSE; sounds like about 90% of my planned vacations. :(

I was thinking the same about the PA roads. Couple patch jobs here and there, rip up a few sections of the interstates, fix a few bridges, but most of them will be the same as before. What they will probably also do, is build more new roads and bridges, that need more repair.
Then back to-WE NEED MORE MONEY!

    HI Sue!
Need we ask why you need a new taillight and bumper!
When I hit a deer with my 95, I got aftermarket parts. They fit pretty well, but if the truck would have been newer I would have probably went with factory parts. Don't remember where I got them though, I think it was through a guy at a local garage.

Bumper must be big & heavy. :sorry:

Oh I don't, there are six of us going. It's really not a big deal. There are a lot factors with this Copper River trip. You have to look at the sonar fish counts, water levels, and then calculate when the bulk of fish will be passing by the bridge at Chitina (area we fish). This is the first time we've delayed for weather though. That river canyon is a little inhospitable when it's rainy and 40 or 50 degrees because it channels wind. No way we wanted to be out on that river when it was in the teens or 20s and snowing. We forecasted the whole month for leave back in January, so we'd be able to go when the fish were there. As it works out, I'm taking leave from 15 to 30 Jun for Kristi's Mom, sister/brother, and their families visiting (10 folks plus our 8). I'll work this week and take the rest of the month off. .... As Mike would say "hehehehehe" :D

:anonymous: could swear I mentioned a month ago - I backed into someone who SAW me backing up and didn't stop or HONK to let me know he was back there   I was parked next to an SUV and didn't see him coming. Both vehicles were white. Car is a '99, so just need new parts. Just need a new tail light and bumper - might only need the cover. going out when I'm done with the laundry and tearing it apart. Have to see if I need the energy absorber.

    :woot:

It's the "cover" that is so expensive to ship :notsure:

have fun fishing. Never had any luck :pout: but other's do

You told the story in the Garage, but it was entertaining to read you go thru it again here. :p

... I did tell you I only pick on the one's I care about, right? ;)

EDIT: Yeah, I'm guessing the "cover" is driving the shipping cost. You might want to price that locally, because a local parts place or even dealer will get a break on shipping because they are doing bulk ship multiple part orders. Least that's my guess/analysis. :notsure:

Susan, check NAPA and the like too. Maybe even a body repair shop could get for you. I'm thinking of places who get the stuff in regular shipments. Distribution already set up. You just have to go pick it up from them with the truck instead of having it delivered to your house. :notsure: but worth a few phone calls to ask.

Not gonna replace the bumper cover.... It'll upset me everytime I look at it, but, other than mainly cosmetic damage that looks ugly, it's not worth replacing for over $100.

    Nice random post ... QFT.

I don't blame you. They're pretty proud of that plastic.

plastic isn't the issue.... just don't understand the cost of the shipping. thing weighs probably 10 pounds and is "big" but it's not that big. Unless it has to do with the packaging. :notsure: I can always order one later on

Too bad you do not live closer. I have a rear bumper I would give you. In great shape as well.

For Rob. Finished the church porch day.

Tom, very nice! Love that Rectory! That's a traditionally beautiful old building. Great job on the porch.

Not bad for a 160 year old building. We finished the refurbishing of the exterior and interior early last year. I was the point person for that project and I learned a lot about old buildings. We retained the original windows, replaced all the electrical wiring, outlets and fixtures, replastered and painted the walls and refinished the original floors.

    Morning all:
    X2! Nice fire pit also.
Did someone say something about a burn ban!!!! :D

We took a break from the lake and went up to the river last night, caught 5 little stripers, a rock bass, a brown trout, and 5 walleyes. Everything went back, the only keeper would have been the brown trout.
