    me again.. yup lol

Do any of you know if the rear axle from a 4x4 or prerunner tacoma will bolt up to a 5 lug? I got the 235's, and the truck lugs a little bit more than i want. My setup i believe is 3.73 gears but i plan on getting 31's next time i get tires, so i'm wanting 4.10's. i'm looking at this as an opportunity to get power back and do the spring under so that i have more clearance in the rear.

    don't flame please :p

Yeah i mean, for whatever the reason is that they differ so much between suspension, fenders, grille, ect, i would like to see a side by side comparison of how the bolt pattern looks with the drive shaft and 3rd member just so i know i wouldn't get messed over.

    Thanks for your inquiry!

Pretty legit question ergo no reason to get flamed haha, not really sure but some differences right off would be that the 6 lug prerunner axle is "spring over axle" as 5 luggers are "spring under axle" not sure if any 5 luggers are spring over , not a huge deal to retrofit I'd think, other things like BPV may apply, just dont haver a clear answer here but i'd like to know myself really...

I know the whole driveline is different, so I'm guessing the flanges probably wouldn't match but not sure.

And the spring under vs spring over thing, you'd have to relocate the spring perches

If i got the drive shafts to line up, do you guys think i'd need new leaf springs? Just because the prerunner/ 4wd one could be wider than mine on the 5 lug. i figured i'd need bigger u bolts, then plates

Instead of putting all this work and money into a 5 lug, you could still just buy a 6 lug and be done
