Finished up my rear disc brake conversion. Stops better on my dirt driveway. Brakes don't lock up now when I slam on my brakes.

I finally got around to installing my manual line lock for my e-brake replacement. Its mounted inside the cab. Its positioned near the kick panel so I can engage it while stepping on the brake pedal.

    Removed the stock LSPV.

Ran a line from the master cylinder to the cab. I drilled a hole just under the brake booster and the line went through a grommet that was reused from one of the many E-brake cables that i replaced. You can see the hard line and the grommet in the second picture.

I used two 1/8" NPT(Male) To 3/16" Swagelok that I bought from LCE Engineering. These made installation a breeze. Description says it flares the line but its a compression type of fitting.
After the installation, I had the truck parked on an incline for an hour and it did move. I now have the truck parked overnight to see if the line lock bleeds any.
I doubt I'll ever use the line lock over night, but it'll be nice to know if I ever leave it engaged.

Not much of a yard sale. Learned to keep my crap secure after the first time I rolled.

Still started and ran with the crack. Just wouldn't idle. A good glob of JBWeld later I was able to drive it off the trail and trailered it home.

I did roll onto my Nikon with my bed, splitting the body open a bit. Glad the lens was ok.

A funny story about my spare. It survived the roll and the bumpy ride down. It wasn't until we started our drive on the dirt portion to the trailhead when the tube decided to break and leave my tire on the road. So it got strapped to my toolbox and make it out.

Started taking off the cab, just need to take it all the way off in the morning. Guess I can start a good cleaning of the tranny and engine while I wait for the cab

    Fastest teardown of a truck?
Have the wiring harness out of the rig and plugged back in to where it all goes. Just need the fuel lines and the battery and I might be able to drive it around.

Sorry about the rollover Chad. That blows. So what's the plan? Tube buggy? In your climate a tube buggy might not be a bad idea, but I gotta say I prefer an enclosed cab just to stay out of the weather or turn on the AC. But I'm getting old and need my creature comforts. :)

Can you find a wrecked reg cab in a junkyard? I'd throw a new cab on it and flatbed it or tube the rear end if it were me.

I saw a few single cabs at the junk yards, all white. Should be going this coming weekend to get a cab and a bed. Plans are to make it how it was before but with a swing out tire carrier and a tailgate again.

Chad you are a good example of why you should wear a seat belt. After the unfortunate event he was still strapped in and fine. I know I didn't most of the week but after seeing a roll and a quarter, I started wearing mine a lot more.

I had no doors the whole week. So I just imagined myself getting thrown out and then being crushed by my own truck. I didn't want that lol

Oh yeah, forgot you did that haha any plans on making some tube or half doors?

I never really understood the idea behind not thinking you should wear one anytime your in a vehicle. Hopefully it changed some other peoples minds as well!

Nope. Half doors would be a pain, and I guess I could make tube doors but the metal would be painfully hot and wouldn't keep dust or anything out so I think it's just easier to go nothing at all.

And when you are at extreme angles the seatbelt does not let you move at all, it locks up which can be a real pain when you are trying to move and stay calm and see what's happening. A good compromise is to throw the chest cross piece around your back and still have the lap piece across your lap
