After all the frustration its deffinatly worth it! It was my first time ever doing anything this extreme so there was a learning curve and having to swap some parts that came with my stuff but some of mine was pieced together as well since I didn't have everything needed from the get go.. but my steering is not 75% and once the new rock assault pump gets here ill be 100% then just tires and gears and im ready to wheel!

I would have to get someone to weld for me which is a good portion of the mod I hear but everything else I can do myself. I used to work on European performance cars during the summers in high school so I think everything else will be a breeze. I'd go with coilovers instead of leaves and probably dana44s unless I can find some cheap dana60s and 37s and I'd want an fj transfer case

Im really beginning to like the leafs, they flex really well.. I have around 3-4" uptravel and 8-10" down, they I haven't really measured yet but since I moved everything forward and notched for steering im sitting at an even 23" frame to ground after two days of driving around.. I really think its all in how its set up. I didn't go links 1. because of cost and I was tired of seeing all ym parts laying around and taking up space 2. I haven't been around any for testing, setup purposes to have any clue what I was doing really 3. I already had leafs and my game plan going in was to keep it as low as possible and taking influence from the Frenchy Build that AOR did a while back. Im super happy with it and I know it will be even better once I get some larger tires!

As for the work involved.. id say 50% is grinding 15% cutting everything away 20% welding and 15% install and fitting everything. and be prepared to spend a full day and around 7 grinding wheels getting the frame clean!

I like the sas that rst just finished on the 2nd gen access cab. It's not as high as the double cab he did previously and it's super clean. It definitely pushed me over the edge to want to do sas

24" ground to frame on 40's  that's the ipside to links imo is keeping it lower on larger tires but I belive leafs will still articulate well enough for me. plus I wanted to do leafs and experience them then do links down the road

when i sas i don't want to have to redo anything on it again. it seems too much of a pain in the ass to go leaves if i know I'm going to do coil overs later

Well kind of like going from pre runner to 4x4 something id want to experience rather than going from pre runner to ifs 4x4.. and shouldnt be hard to add it later, just some bracketry on the frame and ill likely go with a full width axle by then as well
