As soon as I sell my ifs stuff and some sliders/bumpers etc. lol these tires are pretty much called for as well as my old lift so just waiting on money for them then that will pay for half of the 35's. Mpst ifs stuff is called for and that will cover the rear 4:88's. until then im just going to keep running this new lexan shaft up front

I will try and install this week. my business is going crazy so it may be hard to do. Wish I could find a good diesel technician. But for some reason there seems to be a shortage of competent techs around here.

    Ah, gotcha...

Wish I could say I'd buy a rear bumper if you can make an all plate wrap-around with a swingout cheaper than CBI. But there are so many other things I need to get before a rear bumper... :(

    Reasons for only going 35's?
Awesome, you'll love them. I barely have any weight on mine and think they handle everything great.

The downside of running your own business I guess... Haha

Post #17 if you have a press. The bottle jack will take a little creative impro. In any case give the walls of the CA tubes a few good whacks to let them know who's in charge.

35's because I will mostly be dd'ing it and im geared to 4:88 already so no point in re gearing the front again as well. I will run 37's when I wheel as soon as I can find a set and just suck up the extra gas to get to somewhere with them on. but also planning the crawl box which will help tremendously pulling the 37's off road. I don't want to get it up to much in the air. Right now its sitting at 23" so with 35's I should be at 24.5 or so and that's with the front frenched into the frame about an inch and on 4" leafs.

As for the bumper I could deffinatly come out cheaper than CBI most likely. Since slider prices have dropped I know my tube bumper prices will as well, the plate ill have to re quote it all which I got my quote last week for plate but I need to draw it up on autocad and cut it out on the waterjet. but im pretty positive it will come down some too!

Gotcha... Are you an auto or manual? I'm thinking I'll be getting 4:88's this year since I want to go 35's next. Still be my daily driver as well. But some people are recommending 5:29's just because I'm an auto, and I feel like that would be too low for me since I'll be doing much more highway that off road.

Interesting. I wish I could tell you I'd be interested now. But I'll keep the thought in the back of my mind and get back to you when the time comes to make a purchase!

Im manual, I think 4:88's will suffice and if I ever come across one of those super awesome s/c deals id probably do it as well just for the hell of it then im sure id be fine.. I will say one thing, I can run 80 like its nobodys business now and its smooth as glass even without the shocks! I guess having manual hubs now and nothing down there but the axle to deflect wind helps but It seems to have a bit more pep as well and my gas mileage has seemed to climb a tad but we shall see once the new gears go in how it all pans out.

Sounds good man, I don't stay super busy due to lack of advertising but if I had to guess id say I could get one with the tube wrap arounds and swingout out the door for $900-$1000 maybe even a little less. Just need to see what the waterjet fees are going to run me, & I want to re design my jerry can basket though so ill have to see how that works out but shouldn't make it much different. iff anything it should make it a little less work that my other way of doing it previously

Where can I tap into the dash light circuit so my accessory switch lights only come on when I have the parking lights/headlights on? I'm just on my phone so it's sorta hard to search. Any info/links would be helpful.

You could tap into the wiring to the shifter light. Would probably be the easiest to access....

I used the wiring that lit up the ash tray since I didn't need it anymore. But I'm 99% sure the 95-97's didn't have that....
